*Lol No. Spend all the time you want, it doesn't matter if the facts you tell are objectively wrong. Social democracy in practice usually in center-auth leaning right wing in practice.
*Hi, [[:User:Tomjazzy|Tomjazzy]] here. I was wondering why is this put under center lib-unity as opposed to just plain old centrism. Look at two of the most popular example social liberalism, John Maynard Keynes and FDR. Keynes' begrudgingly embraced Colonialism, while FDR went as far as to promote red lining, and Japanese interment camps. I know that kind of thing is less common now a days, but there are still definitely some modern social liberals who are pretty satist (i.e. Destinies position on being fine with excessive force against BLM) even if most social liberals are more against militarization and for civil liberties.

Edit: Putting this ideology in center-auth is even more stupid. Bidain isn't a social liberal, he's center right, probably best classified as Third Way. And are you going to tell me that it's founder, J. S. Mill was some kind of authoritarian?

*This may just be me but people like Atatürk were pretty authoritarian from what I understand. Alongside more modern social liberals, Obama would arguably be seen as fairly center auth-right in comparison to most political ideology spectrums. Also Biden is most def a social-liberal or at least wants to appear as one. In practice, many soclibs were actually fairly center auth-right. And also Tomjazzy is biased to make the ideology look good, since he compares soclib to norway (which isn't even comparable since norway is social democracy not soclib) - AnAnonBoi123

Are you f*** ing kidding me? Holy sheet imagine believing people like Joe Biden, Atatürk or Trudeau would be anywhere near the actual left, let alone lib-left... Something tells me this page was made by people biased to soclib when the leaders are mostly just corrupt neolibs with a bit more welfare and privatized soup kitchens in reality... Probably closer to to third-way. Also to say that this ideology would in anyway be allied with libertarianism and anti-authoritarianism is laughable when you actually see nations who follow this in practice function. (Sorry for filtering my language but this moderation filter is absolute garbage)
Edit: It seems this page is being edited by a person by the name The Real Red Man who is extremely biased to this ideology and whose edit history is 95% adding to the soclib page. Seems pretty obvious he is biased to it and wants to make it seem idealized. Suggesting people further edit to this to make it seem less ideal. Especially factoring in that people like Atatürk, Biden and Obama would most certainly not be anywhere close to libertarian, let alone center-libleft

Tomjazzies Response: Yeah, capitalist leaders sure are corrupt aren't they. So when are we putting Ancaps in the Auth right section?
To be fair, ancap wouldn't really exist as a state is needed to maintain capitalisms survival. With there arguably being no actual examples of real life ancap ideology excluding certain primitive societies long ago.

Imagine unironically thinking social liberalism is in anyway actually left leaning. Most of the leaders are at best center right, or center authoritarian right.
This page makes them look way more freedom loving and socialistic to stop income inequality than it really is.

Are you f*** ing kidding me? Holy sheet imagine believing people like Joe Biden or Trudeau would be anywhere near the actual left, let alone lib-left... I think there should be more of a clear differation from classical social liberals such as Keynes or FDR and modern third way ones who compromise more with neoliberalism.

Lets Go Brandon

Above text. This used to produce based figures like FDR and Keynes, now it produces [removed] leaders like Biden and Trudeau

SomeCrusader - FUCK YOU FOR SCREWING OVER CALIFORNIA!!!

One of the best forms of liberalism

Even if it produces some questionable leaders like Joe Biden, it's still preferable to someone like trump. Insanely based in the past as well

Question

Why is the US labeled as SocLib? It has not been SocLib since the 80s.

HOLY [removed] HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU GUYS SOCIAL LIBERALISM IS IN NO WAY LEFT-WING NOR LIBERTARIAN. IT IS AT BEST MODERATE IF NOT CENTER-AUTH RIGHT. WHAT ABSOLUTE MORONS EDITED THIS PAGE WHO THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA???

This page fucking sucks. And needs to be changed.

Imagine unironically thinking social liberalism is in anyway actually left leaning. Most of the leaders are at best center right, or center authoritarian right.

This page makes them look way more freedom loving and socialistic to stop income inequality than it really is.

Not a Soclib but

I think there should be more of a clear differation from classical social liberals such as Keynes or FDR and modern third way ones who compromise more with neoliberalism.
