Presidentalism, alternatively the Presidential System is a common government form in which an individual leads the executive branch, known as the head of government. In most cases of a presidential system, the head of government is also considered as the head of state, although it's also common to have the presidency be merely ceremonial and to have a separate presidential head of state and parliamentary head of government co-exist, known as a Semi-Presidential System.
