Longism is an economically left-wing, culturally center, statist AuthLeft ideology. Longism name, ideology, and personality are based on Huey Long, governor and senator from Louisiana in the 1930s. While believing in Capitalism, Longism wants to heavily regulate the markets with his "Share Our Wealth" plan which involved taxing the rich to fund social programs for free education, old-age pensions, public works, and universal basic income.

What sets him apart from Social Democracy and other moderate AuthLeft ideologies is that he believes that the use of corruption and intimidation to undermine opponents are valid ways to achieve reform.

Paternalistic Conservatism and Longism are currently the only two AuthLeft ideologies that do not identify as socialist of any kind and should be portrayed being irritated when they are called that, their beliefs meant to provide an alternative to socialism with populist economics.
