1. The basics of Carassian culture
It is first worth noting, that for the purposes of this page, cultures will be separated into several categories based on how advanced they are, Those categories however are intentionally quite loosely defined, as cultural development cannot be adequately measured, furthermore, It is possible for a culture to advance through the categories. That being said, what exactly *is* cultural development? And the answer to that question is rather simple, the cumulative achievement of the culture, all of it's great political, artistic and philosophical works, as well as the level of familiarity and understanding of said works by any given member of said culture. Cultural development can generally be separated into 4 categories:
Artistic - The great works of art, Novels, Paintings, Music and other such things, written by an author
Political - It is evident that a nation's political culture vastly defines most other aspects of it's culture, though this is by no means the most important aspect. It is represented by political traditions, political concepts relevant solely to the nationstate of said culture, be it a real one or merely a hypothetical one, as well as any widespread political ideologies originating in the nation
Philosophical - Though sometimes hard to tell apart from the political, the philosophical aspect is entirely different. It is represented by a nation's great minds, not only philosophers, but also scientists, economists and other thinkers tackling not the mundane questions, as that is the dominion of politics, but the very fundamentals of morality, ethics, metaphysics and other such fields.
Popular - by far the simplest one to understand, yet the hardest one to increase, it merely represents the familiarity of the nation's members with it's culture, after all, what good is a culture that remains unknown to it's populace? This also includes works of the popular imagination and folklore
However it is important to note, that those are not the categories of cultureS mentioned in the beggining, those categories are as follows:
1st Category - The most advanced cultures of the world, those many of whose men defined history and permanently changed it's course, for better or for worse. A brilliant example of such a culture would be France, having existed for as long as Europe Itself (not the physical or geographical, but rather the cultural sphere, This will be further elaborated on in chapter 4) and other cultures of historical major powers
2nd Category - The slightly less advanced, but nevertheless noble cultures, Whom, though not quite history-defining to the extent of the 1st category, have made great contributions to the sciences (philosophy and politics included) and have still somewhat significantly impacted history. An example of such a culture would be Hungarian culture, which, though not geopolitically relevant for a significant portion of history, is extremely rich and can proudly call itself the culture of such great (in the scale of their impact on world history, but not nescessarily in the nature of that impact) men as Árpád and Horthy, and boasting some novel political concepts of it's own, such as the trianon syndrome or Horthy's contentious legacy. Many less historically relevant european and asian cultures fall in this category
3rd Category - Not quite here or there. Cultures in this category tend to be relatively young or have only relatively recently started to make their impact on the world, having contributed only a handfull of historically relevant figures and not quite as politically and philosophically complex as those in previous categories. Examples of such cultures would include certain asian cultures such as the Mongols, whom, though having had a great empire, have not been of much relevance for most of history.
4th Category. Most cultures outside of Eurasia, as well as a handful in Eurasia, fall into this category. They are entirely undeveloped, have been historically irrelevant, and have at best produced one great person. Though they are still rather valuable, and seeing them go very much *would* be a loss, they have not yet had the time to prove themselves to the world, though with time they will eventually advance to at least the 3rd category. Most sub-saharan african, as well as native siberian and american cultures fall into this category for obvious reasons.
5th Category. The "parasites", Unlike cultures in previous categories, they are a liability to mankind, and should be destroyed as soon as possible, as they do not actually contribute anything of value to mankind, only parasitizing other cultures and claiming their achivements as their own, whilst also seeking to spread as wide as possible to as many people as possible, which results in losing what little identity and values it originally had. Only the american and canadian cultures fall into this category.
