Vistulism is an economically 
left-wing ideology. It now believes that socialism is inherently meritocratic, because it wishes to give everybody an equal chance in life and that socialism is the most reasonable means of making equality of opportunity happen.
It wants to invest hugely in technology in order to do great things such as increase lifespan, cure diseases (mental and physical) and learn more about the world.
It also wants to empower 
domestic industry in order to create a 
completely self-sufficient society and soon an Autarkic Trading Bloc.
Theory
Please note that I use the word "meritocracy" to specifically refer to the extremely related idea of equality of opportunity.

The Road To Self-Sufficiency
Getting to self-sufficiency is a pebble on a huge brick path. The problem is that there are a lot of Pebble Shooters put down by capitalist pigs.
If our nation invests fully in achieving 100% domestic industry, we shall be able to break the chains of International Capitalism.
Once we do this, the people shall be fully reliant on the people who are reliant on the other people.
Taxes
Individual Punitive Wealth Tax
Vistulism believes in the implementation of a Individual Punitive Wealth Tax (ima call that IPW Tax from now on because I don't wanna write that all out) on earnings above £1 billion. This is because £1 billion is an unreasonably high amount of money and it would be better to invest it on helping others than on helping one man go on a trip through space.
It believes that through these taxes that soon we will be able to help use these investments to help stop things like cancer, diabetes and birth defects. These are of course more important than some random billionaire getting a golden yacht that won't even drive because it's made out of gold.
Potency Tax
A sad reality is appearing where the youth are becoming caught in by bad habits such as vaping. This needs to stop. I propose a potency tax, which has a rate going like an inversed bell curve across age, meaning that whilst you are young or old, the tax rate is high, but during those stages of your life where it doesn't really matter too much, it's softer and more reasonable.
Corporate Addictive Substances Tax
I want to tax companies for using nicotine or other addictive substances inside of their products. This is because addictive substances often come with bad side affects and hurt people's mental state.
Addictive Substances Limit
Alongside the tax, I also wish to limit the amount of addictive substances that can be put in a product to 10mg/ml instead of the usual 20mg/ml. Over the years, this should be brought down to 7.5mg/ml so soon we can start to truely phase out addiction.
Non-Domestic Produce Tax
To empower domestic production and become a self-sufficient socialist state, we must tax foreign imports on produce that have domestic counterparts. This means that imports on produce that cannot be made domestically won't be taxed but imports on foreign produce which have got a domestic supplier available will be affected by taxation.
Inheritance Tax
In order to empower the idea of 
socialist equality of opportunity, we must stop accumulation of wealth in small families. This is why I wish for an inheritance tax which is put into a National Education Fund for all citizens.
Inheritance tax shall have a rate of 15% or so.
Unused Land Tax
If land is going completely unused by someone but still owned by them, they are really just hoarding at the expense of the people. This is why I propose an unused land tax where if there is not a significant and constant use for a piece of land, you shall be taxed a percentage of the worth of the land. The longer this goes on for, the higher the tax shall become. This is to prevent misuse of land.

How can we have a meritocracy without a way for the people to show their merit to those who actually matter to employers? I kept asking myself that when I wanted to create Meritocratic Liberalism/Old Vistulism.
But now, I've realised that Socialism is the way to go - it's the answer I was looking for at all times.
The national education fund (NEF) shall be funded by Inheritance Tax.
The NEF would be used for:
- Funding universal education (up to any stage)
- Funding the proper payment of teaching staff (they are creating our future)
- Funding the fixing of schools and the safety of all students within them
It shall be the job of the university to distribute this funding appropriately.
Deposit Return Scheme (like German Pfand)
I believe that implementing a system similar to "Pfand" in 
Germany is a good idea. This is because it will incentivize people to recycle bottles. This will help increase self-sufficiency as we can reuse materials easier.
Party Politics
Unite the Left
The Labour Party has failed the people for it no longer represents the laborer. It is a disgrace that it still holds the name "Labour" Party but it is not the time for whining - it is the time for action.
I propose a New Party (no not THAT New Party, 
Brit Fash bastards), a new party that truely represents the worker. A united coalition of:

Social Ideas
Moderate Post-Genderism
Moderate Post-Genderism is the belief that gender should not be fully abolished but instead ignored. This means total equality for all genders meaning:
- Men:
- Should not be judged when applying to jobs related to looking after children (people seem to think women can't be pedophiles??)
- Should not be drafted simply for being biologically stronger, the army also requires mental stability when seeing someone literally fucking die and not all of us have that or even want to have that.
- Should not suffer sentencing disparity.
- Women:
- Shouldn't be thought of as dumber than their male counterparts in employment.
- Shouldn't be used as sexual objects.
- Should not be considered property of their husband/father/brother. (I'm talking to you, Islamism.)
- Everyone:
- Should respect all people regardless of gender.
- Should respect peoples' choice of gender.
Workplace Democracy
Trade Union Leadership
The entire idea of a "leader" of a trade union is against the very notion of workplace democracy. This is why everyone should have the same amount of power in a trade union. Things can be organized by Democratic vote but splitting off from a trade union and starting a wildcat strike is completely justifiable if you believe the union and it's members do not represent you.

Worker Ownership
I advocate for the workers to own and manage the businesses instead of a boss. This is because bosses often do not understand their fellow worker and only care about profits at the expense of meritocracy.
Workers can have "positions" within their business but there shall be no autocratic decision making but rather workplace democracy where all can vote.
Labor Theory of Value
Although I dislike Karl Marx, I believe that the Marxian idea of "Labor Theory of Value" (LTV) is awesome. This is because it directly correlates value and work, which is extremely meritocratic and socialist and yes.
"What every thing is really worth to the man who has acquired it, and who wants to dispose of it or exchange it for something else, is the toil and trouble which it can save to himself, and which it can impose upon other people."
I believe that all purchases are simply ways of "saving time, effort and trouble" in a way.
Opposition to Monopolies
If we have monopolies then we shall leave no choice to the worker where to work when they become proficient in something. I must ask where the freedom in that is. This is why we must have a cap of 30% market share.
Just Compensation
Workers must recieve just compensation for their effort.
No more shall the worker stay exploited.

Regional Distribution
In order to clamp down on the wealth and infrastructure/development gap between regions in the United Kingdom, Vistulism wants to implement Regional Distribution.
Regional Distribution is a system in which all regions shall be taxed like with the Individual Punitive Wealth Tax. This money shall then be spread across these regions in accordance with their population and how much money is needed for their well-being.
I want it adjusted with population because an area with 3000 person should not have the same amount of funding as an area with 300,000 people
