I believe in a form of mutual-aid anarchism, and wish to establish a society based on cooperation, decentralization and the rejection of authority.

BELIEFS

MUTUAL AID

Mutual aid is a fundamental principle for human societies, and cooperation / solidarity among humans, and a number of animals, were crucial for survival and process. As Kropotkin shows in his book Mutual Aid: A Factor of Evolution, mutual aid was a core factor for evolution rather than ruthless competition (which Social Darwinists argue was the core factor of evolution.)

Despite this, I also believe that survival of the fittest, while not the only factor, was also a large factor of evolution: roughly equally as large as mutual aid. For example, while early tribes did work on an egalitarian basis, they also developed and survived through conflict: as one tribe sought to top the other, they evolved quickly (despite this, the evolution could not have happened if not everybody within the tribe agreed to help, and if they did not also gather supplies from other tribes when in need). Not only that, intertribal and interspecies conflicts have existed, and also played a valuable and important role to evolution, despite (and oftentimes along with) the value of mutual aid.

Despite this I believe mutual aid across humanity is not only possible but important for the further progression of human society: I believe we are at a stage where the elimination of Darwinist ideas is not only possible, but essential.

MUTUAL AID IN NATURE

In Kropotkin's book Mutual Aid, he highlights a number of cases in nature where mutual aid existed and animals collaborated within the animal kingdom, and concluded that the general concept of "survival of the fittest" was not the main factor in evolution: and I agree with the idea that mutual aid was one of the main factors of evolution. My evidence for his claim is in his book. However I also argue that, throughout evolution, conflict between species, and, even, between "primal tribes" (groups of animals co-operating for a reward: examples of mutual aid) was an equally important reason for evolution.

HISTORICAL EXAMPLES

Further in Kropotkin's Mutual Aid, he looked at historical and anthropological evidence towards his theory of mutual aid, which I believe is far less refutable and I believe that, in the medieval era, mutual aid was the main source of evolution, I believe within the pre-medieval eras, intertribal conflicts were still large factors, however. While mutual aid will always foster social harmony and prosperity (themselves leading to evolution within medieval and modern environments), within the earlier stages of human development where humanity did not have access to technology to test and experiment with traditions and traditional laws, intertribal conflicts were essential to promote the breaking of traditions as a rushed attempt to fight against the opposing tribe (although, to gather the resources required to do this required the tribe to peacefully communicate with others, and to co-operate among themselves to produce the experiments, or even the might to topple the opposing tribe).

CRITIQUE OF CAPITALISM

I dislike the capitalist system as it simply perpetuates inequality and exploitation, so I believe in a system based upon mutual aid, as I believe that would lead to a more just and equitable social order. More on that in the next part, I am just mentioning how the fundamental of my philosophy runs of a desire to have a society run off mutual aid.

Anarcho-Communism

I advocate for a system of Anarcho-Communism, as outlined by authors such as Kropotkin, but also Nestor Makhno and the Free Territory, along with a large number of others. I define Anarcho-Communism as a society without a centralized government or private property. I believe people should organize themselves in a decentralized manner, and meet their needs through voluntary co-operation.

I believe kropotkin's answer to the question of luxuries is the greatest.

ABOLITION OF THE STATE

I argue for the abolition of the state, as a centralized state necessarily perpetuates injustice and hinders individual freedoms. Instead, a believe in a form of decentralized self-governance through local, autonomous communities. This is called " Anarchism".

COMMON OWNERSHIP

An essential aspect of Anarcho-Communism is the collective ownership over resources. I believe in a society where wealth and resources are shared to eliminate economic disparities. This is called " Communism"

WORK AND DISTRIBUTION

I believe in " From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." This would generate a sense of solidarity and eliminate class distinctions.

DECENTRALIZATION AND LOCAL AUTONOMY

I emphesize the importance of decentralization and the idea that decisions should be made at the local level (what works for area A would never succeed for area B), allowing communities to govern themselves based on their unique needs and values.

ETHICS OF FREEDOM

As Kropotkin shows in his book The Conquest of Bread, true freedom can only be achieved in a hierarchy-less system of mutual respect and that in a society built on mutual aid, that individuals may develop a sense of morality and responsibility.

Mutualist or not?

Despite the name of my ideology, I have not read Proudhon, nor been influenced by mutualist philosophy. So, to look at the name, we must look at where the term 'mutualism' comes from: and it finds it's origins from mutual aid, a topic I find very important thanks to Kropotkin's work, and fundimental to an anarchist society to run: without the we, we would starve individually while the powerful (those who gained a great harvest) would sit upon a pile of wealth: an anarcho-capitalist system, where everybody suffers except from the rich.

Being that an emphasis on mutual aid is an essential and large component of my philosophy, it makes sense to include it in the name. You could also argue I share a number of traits with Mutualists, although nothing that isn't also shared by a number of Anarchists: decentralization, voluntary cooperation and opposition to hierarchical structures.
