The 8th ZZ Division, commonly known as Centrazja, was established in 2027 as an integral component of the "ZZ Rossya" Theater within the ZZ framework. Its primary objective was to safeguard the stability of the Caucasus region and prevent its fragmentation, thereby maintaining allegiance to the Russian Federation. Demonstrating considerable efficacy, the division achieved notable success in numerous engagements against Chechen insurgents in the southern territories.

However, in 2028, when Soviet forces seized control of Stavropol, Centrazja temporarily withdrew from the area, only to re-engage a month later to support the establishment of the North Caucasus Federation, which aligned itself with the Russian Federation until its eventual absorption into the Soviet Union in 2029. Subsequent to the dissolution of the North Caucasus Federation, Centrazja lost all communication with mainland authorities but managed to escape southeastward, eventually regrouping in Tashkent by 2031, where logistical resupply and telecommunications repairs were undertaken.

The PSNR government then repurposed the division for facilitating trade in Central Asia and conducting espionage operations, primarily focusing on monitoring Mongolia and Lettistan from 2031 to 2035. In 2035, amidst a siege faced by the Empire of China in Xinjiang, the division was tasked with launching a diversionary attack from the west on Ili, effectively diverting Uighur forces. Following the success of this operation, the division remained in the region to provide support to the 1st New International Division.

Ultimately, following positive negotiations between the Triforce "Trójsiła" Autonomous Group and the PSNR government, Centrazja reluctantly opted to join the autonomous entity, marking a consequential shift in its allegiance and operational framework.
