Summary
Galaxy Thought is the self insert ideology of user Aperson14, better known as "edelex" or just "galaxy" in most cases. I don't really wanna summarize it right now, so you should probably read this page.
I will not write much here, but eh, feel free to leave a comment. If you want to know more about me and/or my beliefs, I suggest you try to contact me via a third party platform. If you are actually interested in hearing me rant, check out my beliefs below.
Beliefs
Now for clarification before we get into this, I as a Marxist do not support Council or Party Communism, because I support the union method. Perhaps we can get into this (why exactly) on another day, but right now let's handle this. I am a unionist, yet I do not identify as a syndicalist. Why? Am I retarded? Some would say yes.
Yet that's not why; in my opinion, syndicalism is too broad of a term. It has been co-opted by anarchists, fascists, utopians, and reformists. (Let's be honest here, syndicalism was really never scientific) I obviously do not wish to associate with these types of people; therefore I reject syndicalism in it's entirety. This, is what I call "social-democratic" or "reformist" unionism, as you might've noticed in my "dislikes" section. I therefore prefer to identify as a revolutionary or a proletarian unionist.
Yet, that does not make me a De-Leonist, as J. Bolcheque pointed out in one of our discussions that Daniel De Leon was a bit of a reformist and was rigid; therefore I do not follow him either. Plus, De Leon supports the party form (albeit in a limited amount) so, his ideas are kinda dead to me.
In my last entry, I explained that I was a unionist, but why? Why am I not back to my totally not hypocritical situationist Moderate ML? Well, truth be told, I don't see the point of a party. No hate to Lenin or any other "party communists" (except maybe MLs) but it's just what I believe. What advantage does the party grant? The ability to participate in liberal elections? Great, that's what we needed. Parties TOTALLY could be revolutionary, I just don't like them. Look at the modern "revolutionary parties", all reformists or shills. No communist is going to take power through democratic election, not anymore.
Now for the council? Honestly, councilists are very solid people, I just prefer unions. Why? The general strike. I think councils neglect the "economic" aspect of capitalism and focus entirely on cultural and political, I think the best way for a proletarian revolution to be brought about is through a general strike, which would grind the economy to a halt; disrupting capitalist superstructure and bringing about the beginning of the end; even if the strike is broken up, the damage will be done. If the strike is popular, some of the biggest corporations would be brought down to their knees; and would need to waste billions of dollars and spend years trying to recover.
