Idealist Ultracapitalism Is the fictional ideology of Robert Edwin House, CEO and Sole Proprietor of RobCo, and by proxy, the New Vegas Strip, Andrei Rianofski, known in America as "Andrew Ryan", a Russian Magnate and creator of Rapture, and The Halcyon Holdings Corporation, the proprietors of the Halcyon System.

House Futurism

"Vegas is more than a city, it's the remedy to mankind's ... derailment. The city's economy is a blast furnace, in which can be forged the steel of a new rail line running straight to a new horizon. What is the NCR? A society of people desperate to experience comfort, ease, luxury. A society of customers. Give me 20 years and I'll reignite the high technology development sectors. 50 years and I'll have people in orbit. 100 years and my colony ships will be heading for the stars to search for planets unpolluted by the wrath and folly of a bygone generation. What I'm offering you is a ground floor opportunity in the most important enterprise on earth. What I'm offering is a future - for you, and for what remains of the human race."

Robert Edwin House

Robert Edwin House was born on June 25th in the Year 2020. On his 22nd birthday, he founded the company RobCo, which would quickly grow into a multi-billion dollar corporation, until the year 2077, when the world ended. Robert House however did not die, he placed himself under a coma in a facility deep under the Lucky 38 Casino. He would regain consciousness in 2138, and took control of the New Vegas strip by the year 2281.
In the game, House presents himself as a fanatical idealist whose plans to save the human race involve sending the remaining survivors to a planet far off in the stars. In spite of how he ridicules the NCR for indulging in pre-war culture, he himself has a very idealised concept of how people should behave, tailoring the tribes of New Vegas to their respective casinos in design, and "Civilising" their more savage impulses. Throughout the game, he chastises the primitive impulses of the wasteland settlers; he ridicules the courier for growing an attachment for the wasteland, saying that it is "Nothing but desert". He patronises the Brotherhood of Steel as "Militant, quasi-religious fanatics obsessed with hoarding Pre-War technology", and refers to the NCR as "Snakes" if you choose to kill him and inform him that the NCR told you to do so. He sees himself as the only solution for the Mojave, and that he will find humanity a new home across the stars.
