The Department for Global Standardization is a branch of the AltUN that is responsible for managing various standards that are used internationally. It serves as an unofficial successor to the International Organization for Standardization.

DGS-001.a

The DGS standard 001.a is a set of two-letter abbreviations that serve to represent different countries and territories. It is used as the basis for the Internet's country code TLDs (Top-Level Domains).
