State Socialism (StateSoc) is an economically left-wing, statist to authoritarian, culturally and diplomatically variable (can range from internationalist to patriotic and even nationalist) ideology who believes that the presence of centralised authority, state ownership of the means of production by a worker's party and a state-planned economy is a necessity in either transitioning from capitalism to socialism or upholding a truly socialist society. Much with Libertarian Socialism with LibLeft, StateSoc can be seen as the center of the AuthLeft quadrant. While Marxism-Leninism is sometimes referred to as "state socialism", StateSoc's ideology is different in that he does not have to seek the establishment of communism and is not explicitly internationalist or progressive, being a much broader political stance that can even be seen as more of an umbrella term.
