This is Octo. He is an American green conservative libertarian (preservationist) with radical centrist characteristics. He believes in abolished or very low income and sales tax and raising corporate tax to keep the market from monopolies to preserve its freedom, although he does not know which sort of tax this would be, yet. Aside from this corporate tax, he wishes there to be no national government intervention in the economy. He strongly supports freedom of speech, religion, business, and property rights.

He is very federal and believes strongly in state rights. He is also a nationalist pacifist who believes in equal rights and equal opportunity, but not equal outcomes. He is a very strong supporter of environmentalism and believes we should invest research into nuclear power to replace polluting forms of industrialism, because industrialism is ideal for a good economy. He also unironically believes that many of the industrial revolution's consequences have been a disaster for the human race.

He believes in his custom political philosophy known as preservationism. It believes in the preservation of not just tradition, but cultures, humanity, life, the earth, animals, sovereignity, freedom, land, and safety, among others. He is against advancing technology to sentience.

Octo loves to farm, read, play video games, and study science, politics, and economics. Octo is a supporter of the environmentalism movement, as well as equal rights, and animal rights.

Political axes in depth

Federal vs. Unitary

Very, very federal. Strong advocate for states rights and individual sovereignty under a union. The only things that should be unitary is the military and borders.

Democracy vs. Authority

Democratic republican. Direct democracy leaves everything up to the majority and allows no representation for minorities or the opinions thereof. Abolish the two-party system, privatize political parties, end FPTP, greatly, GREATLY lower politicians' salaries.

Globalist vs. Nationalist

Moderate nationalist and pro-sovereignty. Very pro-diplomacy and peace, however. Sovereignty should be preserved for every nation, but the nation should have good relationships with all. However, they should not let their guards down. Our nation comes first, so that we may help others more easily.

Militarist vs. Pacifist

Strong pacifist. Anti-interventionism. Avoid military conflict, but a military should be ready and hardy. Anti-death penalty because it's unconstitutional and I don't want the state deciding why they should legally be allowed to kill someone.

Security vs. Liberty

Liberty, except on immigration. Decriminalize drugs. End the drug war, end qualified immunity, end most victimless crimes but especially a protest 'crime', end the Patriot Act, end FISA 702. Socially libertarian on most things except animal rights and the right to life. Strongly in support of freedom of speech, religion, business, and property rights.

Equal market vs. Free market/Equal outcomes vs. Equal opportunity

Strong markets. Capitalist libertarian with Bull Moose progressive and anarcho-capitalist characteristics. Lower or abolish all non-local taxes except corporate tax. Taxation straight from the people to the government is theft. Taxation straight from corporations is not. If the democratically elected officials wish, this corporate funding can be used for welfare/education/UBI. Strong freedom of business and property. The owner of a business has the right to do what s/he wishes with it. Pro-pro-pro-PRO-equal opportunities. Equal outcomes leads to equal depression. However, very anti-monopoly and anti-corporatocracy. Property taxes, while theft, Octo is unable to find a replacement to fund roads and the utility thereof. Privatize almost everything. Except perhaps elementary education. Octo doesn't like public education because it leads to state-controlled education, but sometimes it is necessary, because the state shouldn't intervene in a private institution's costs. State can lead to tyranny. A government big enough to give you everything you need is a government big enough to take away everything. End corporate welfare, end qualified immunity, end civil asset forfeiture.

Industrialist vs. Environmentalist

Environmentalist. Any means must be put forth to preserve the planet, unowned land, life, and parks. National parks should be funded by corporate taxes. We should heavily research nuclear energy as it is the most efficient and clean energy source. Industry should eventually rely on nuclear energy as it is the will of the free market. Pro-ecology. Environmentalism rooted in free markets and innovation.

Progressive vs. Conservative

Kind of progressive conservative. We must progress to a greatly new electoral system that uses a multi-party system, ranked choice voting, privatized political parties, and funded by the people and the candidates own money. However, culturally conservative libertarian in most regards.

Assimilationist vs. Multiculturalist

He is a centrist on this issue. Believes in the preservation of all cultures, as long as they 'play nice.' Multiculturalist but it must be assimilated by nation, and unified. However, this is the one topic he has trouble explaining, and he does not have a fully formed opinion.
