Template:CharacterLongismball is an economically left-wing, culturally center, authoritarian AuthLeft ideology. Longism name, ideology, and personality are based on Huey Long, governor and senator from Louisiana in the 1930s. While believing in Capitalism, Longism wants to heavily regulate the markets, fund social programs, and introduce a universal basic income called "Share Our Wealth". What sets him apart from Social Democracy and other moderate AuthLeft ideologies is that he believes using corruption and intimidation to undermine opponents are valid ways to achieve reform.
Stylistic Notes
- Despite the crown, Longismball is not a monarchist. He wears the crown due to his belief that every man should be a king through social programs.
- Frequently denies being socialist, but admits to voting for leftist economic policies all the time as per the real Huey Long.
- Hates LibRight ideologies with a burning passion, usually tolerates others if they aren't getting in his way.
- Will often make speeches about his childhood or early career and how they relate to current politics and his beliefs.
- Loves football
- Best friends and often seen with Distributismball
How to Draw
- Draw a circle
- Draw a simplified version of the Coat of Arms of Huey Long[1], starting with the diagonal red lines, then the fish, then the fish's crown. (The latter two don't need to be complicated/have details, using a solid color is fine.)
- Add a crown to Longismball
- Add eyes
- Done!
