La Plaineism, which is a retroactive name for the La Plaine, also known as The Marsh, is an ideology meant to portray the centrist group in the French National Convention. The members were also known as the Maraisards. La Plaineism is generally centrist in most opinions, advocating for Big Tent Politics and Political Syncretism.
