What's my favourite...?
What's my favourite game?
Without a doubt, my favourite game is Red Dead Redemption 2, this is for a few reasons:
- The van der Linde Gang manages itself as a de-facto anarchist commune, with this egalitarianism presenting itself in both pragmatic and idealistic ways throughout the game. The Gang's governance and ideals for me are not only respectable, but this also adds exponentially to the already really interesting and captivating storyline.
- The main storyline makes you feel as if you are Arthur. Alongside the extensive immortality vs morality struggle which makes the game more captivating; you can see the differences in the attitude of how Arthur speaks to people, while also influencing the ending. The main struggle of Arthur is really one of spectacular writing while the side characters of the game have completely unique personalities & goals, making it doubly more immersive.
- The incredible attention to detail and graphics make the game incredible and mesmerising as if you are actually inside the game. The hunting, fishing & foraging mechanics are some of the best in the open-world gaming sector and really make it that much better to be completely superior to any other game.
