Statism is a form of government characterized by a highly centralized government, often extending to government ownership of industry and economic planning. It's similar to 
Liberalism, though it's not inherently 
Capitalist, and it's more centralized. It's a bit above the center of the civic axis, between 
Libertarianism and 
Authoritarianism, and usually above Liberalism.
