Hispaniola

Stylized painting depicting Polish ships arriving at the shores of Haiti (2030s)

A government in exile - the Polish Republic of Hispaniola sees itself as the last bastion of Polish culture, having lost their homelands to Russophiles and pan-Slavists.
The state sees itself legitimized by the saying that the poles be the "Negroes of Europe" and would thus be welcomed in Haiti any day - this the refugees made their advantage. The post-modern racist leader of the quickly consolidated state has imposed measures of cultural repression and discrimination - forcing polish cultural assimilation onto all peoples of the Island.
The Polish bastion is secured, but at what cost? At least they brought stability...

Relations

Polish Hispaniola has a particularistic foreign policy, wanting its people to live alone and their culture to be isolated, but still dreaming about regaining Polish lands occupied by Russophiles and pan-Slavs. Due to the country being relatively close to America, it was supported by Greater Illinois, which has made Hispaniola more pro-Western over time, though they deny being a puppet of the Americans.

  • Positive
  • Neutral
    • Republic of Sorbia - Hispaniola sees Sorbia as another Pan-Slavic Russophilic state, but unlike Social Nationalist Poland, they actually have more positive relations, because of some minor similarities. Both are Progressive Particularist states, both dislike North Germany, both enjoy the Sorbussy. But the similarities end there. They still view them as Russophilic Regressive Socialists that damage more than help the Sorbian and to some extent Polish culture, but at least their not Social Nationalists...
  • Negative
  • Very Negative
    • Polish Social Nationalist Republic - Hispaniola sees Social Nationalist Poland as culture destroyers, traitors to the Polish Republic and a puppet government of Russia. Not much action is taken due to distance, but claim to be the legitimate government of Poland.

Cuba

The Catholic Kingdom of Cuba is a Caribbean state led by King Carlos IV, the current head of the House of Bourbon-Parma.
It is a federal absolute monarchy, formed after the collapse of communism on the island. While initially back under the US heel, when America collapsed, the citizens of Cuba felt that Communism and Liberalism had failed them. When Carlos and his Requetés landed on the island, they were immediately installed as the government.
Cuba has a 0.867 HDI. Cuba's armed forces are divided into paramilitary Requetés and the smaller standing Armed Forces. Cuba also is against automation of warfare.
Cuba is almost "stuck in the past" socially, but with most of the means of production delegated to the most local entity. Social norms are highly influenced by traditional Catholic Social Teaching. Aesthetically, Cuba's main style of architecture is Moorish Revival.
