What is this?
The Radinia Project (Working Title) is a fantasy world invented by Dr. Occo in the early 2020s. Multiple novels are planned, however none of them have even a first draft to show.
Concept and Worldbuilding
Radinia is a State on a European-inspired fantasy continent. As the Names of some characters might suggest, Radinia itself is stylistically inspired by Dr. Occo‘s fatherland, Germany. Radinia, in the canonically current year of 1566, is without any ruler by the time the story takes place, as its Monarch and most of the Nobility had been killed by a demon three years prior, in the exact middle of a brutal civil war between the Radinian Royal Army and a Rebellion of multiple, only loosely connected forces.

- Kingdom of Radinia (currently without Ruler)
- Capital: Rados
- Anthem:
- Languages: Radinian, Zeisk, Breike-Radinian, Scortan
- Status: Regional Power, currently compromised
- Description: Radinia was a Kingdom, but a recent decline in competency of the kings and continuous power struggles between king, parliament and economy have lead to popular uprisings, that eventually sparked a civil war. While the civil war is officially over, Radinia has no unitary government.
- Political Model:
- Will be described in the entire article
- Republic of Kramm
- Capital: Krammsentral
- Anthem: "Republican Light March"
- Languages: Kramish, Scortan
- Status: Regional Power
- Description: Kramm is a small group of islands in the Previan Ocean, on which a city-state has evolved into a booming merchant republic through diplomacy and sometimes conquest. It is a hub for big trading companies, and prides itself on its progressive policy. The democracy of Kramm is based on merchant families, most of which have held the positions of the city and cooperated at one point or another.

- Progressivism
- Republicanism
- Emporian Empire
- Capital: Acrist
- Anthem: "The King's Cloak is made of Rock and Earth"
- Languages: Emporian, Vrantkan
- Status: Great Power
- Description: Emporia is a Monarchy, and has been for a long time. It currently tries to resist the revolutionary ideas sweeping the world, and has buried itself deep in Monarchical Tyranny as a consequence. The King and Queen, who rule about equally, have allowed some Capitalist Reforms to keep economic power, but the nation does not even have a constitution or parliament, let alone democratic or liberal values. Some nobles and political actors, more than in most other countries, have adopted the Reactionary Theories of Azan Cyrzan, while others want a more Conservative, but not regressive, approach. Unfortunately for other countries, most politicians in Emporia can agree that Imperialism is very necessary.
- Political Model:
- Ucayanate of Hysa
- Capital: None
- Anthem: None
- Languages: Hysaian, Iya, Vrantkan, Seaside Hysaian, Emporian
- Status: Minor Power, Urlanish Satellite State
- Description: Hysa is an internally very loosely connected territory, comprised of a coastline on the Previan Sea in its West, Rocky Deserts in the North, and Mountainous Terrain in the South and East, where it also owns a small part of the northern Ethrian Sea coast. Hysa exists since 1204, when the Ucayanate of Urlan defeated the Kingdom of Emporia at the naval Battle of Aelcas, formed as a buffer state between Emporia and the newly united Kingdom of Vrantka. It still fulfills this role today, and its government is widely seen as merely a Puppet of Urlan. The only reason it has not been conquered is that no one wants full-on war with Urlan.
- Political Model:
- Aristocracy
- Decentralism
- Puppet Dictatorship
- Traditionalism
- Tribalism
- Ucayanism
- Kingdom of Vrantka
- Capital: Jucalam
- Anthem: "Whistle for Vrantka"
- Languages: Vrantkan, Iya, Emporian
- Status: Regional Power
- Description: Vrantka lays to the South of Emporia, although because the Ucayanate of Hysa is between them, the two states don't share a border. It's a small Kingdom, but very influential, since it has rich reserves of Tavinium in its soil, a long tradition of extremely skilled mages, and a near monopoly on sea trade in the region. The King mostly relies on the mages and Industrialists to keep him in power, treating them well and using them to oppress the civilian population. He has allied himself with the Emporians, occasionally lending troops to their war efforts, partly to avoid a brutal conquest of his land, partly because their Jeacernite ideology is very similar to his. Unfortunately for him, the powerful mages and the Industry, the unfair treatment of the Vrantkan population has inspired the famous socialist thinker Kovim Zavat to establish a Rebel group that seeks to free the people, leading to a state of near civil war in some parts of the country.
- Political Model:
- Anti-Socialism
- Absolute Monarchism
- Industrialism
- Mage Rule
- Reactionaryism
- Ucayanate of Urlan
- Capital: Rahsia
- Anthem: None
- Languages: Urlanish, Haebi, Fathabi, Iya, Emporian, Scortan
- Status: Great Power
- Description: Urlan is a huge Empire, sharing a border with Emporia, but being mostly surrounded by water, with the Calm Sea in its north and the Ethrian Sea in its southwest. Its political system is organized around an Ucayan, a largely powerless figurehead monarch, and a parliament, the "Kahra", which actually governs the state. Urlan has conflicts with Vrantka (over who owns which parts of the Ethrian Sea), Emporia (an expansionist clash at their border) and Scorta (over some islands in the Calm Sea), and is therefore often seen as a boogeyman by the other regional powers, who often try to incite revolts by ethnic minorities in Urlan, who are often being harshly repressed.
- Political Model:

- Ethnocracy
- Imperialism
- Parliamentarianism
- Secularism
- Species Separatism
- Ucayanism
- Scortan Empire
- Capital: Areia
- Anthem: "The People's Guardian"
- Languages: Scortan, Vadrian
- Status: Great Power
- Description: The Scortan Empire, through hundreds of years of conquest, has grown to be multiple times bigger than any of its neighbors. The Caesar rules, and upon a Caesar’s death (or voluntary retirement), the next Caesar is elected by the people. The current Caesar is Angelicus I., and due to him being undead, it might take a while until the Office changes hands. Fortunately, he is a popular and good leader, and he has decided to end the Imperialist policies for the time being. While Scortas time as a Superpower is over, being outdone in influence ( by these two ) because of its lack of ideological strenght, it is still very powerful and often mediates conflicts.
- Political Model:
- Independent Principality of Glimburg
- Capital: Altbaake
- Anthem: "The Star of Glimburg"
- Languages: Radinian, Vadrian, Scortan
- Status: Minor Power, independent
- Description: Glimburg was a Principality of Radinia for quite a while, but it split from it during the Four-Cities-War 300 years ago. It stayed a Principality for most of them, but the king got overthrown a few years before the Radinian Civil War by the military. Now, General Viktus von Aarben rules Glimburg.
- Political Model:
- Kingdom of Vadria
- Capital: Weslahn
- Anthem: "Hail the Royal Family"
- Languages: Vadrian, Scortan, Radinian
- Status: Regional Power
- Description: In the eighth century, the three northern provinces of the Scortan Empire rebelled against the Caesar. After a civil war, where the Caesar was killed and his army beaten, the provinces broke away from Scorta and formed the Kingdom of Vadria. The Kingdom, which has persisted ever since, is ruled over by the Ven Briers family, who have a reputation for being weak-willed and easy to manipulate. A parliament has formed over the centuries, which has been able to pass reforms to keep with the times, which is why Vadria, despite currently losing much of its territory, is still an important global player.
- Political Model:
- State of Aktiat
- Capital: Carapitia
- Anthem: "The Empire lives"
- Languages: Scortan, Vadrian, Zuezik
- Status: Minor Power, Scortan Satellite State
- Description: Aktiat is a small state that has fought a war of secession against Vadria, and with some unofficial help from the Scortan Army, they won their independence in 1528. The Aktiat government claims to be the successor of the Tiat Empire, a Mega-State that had control over the whole region, from Vrantka to Tagrait, up until it collapsed in the sixth century. The population is mostly ethnically Scortan, however there is a small ethnic minority, the Zuezians, in western Aktiat.
- Political Model:
- Archmagedom of Larett
- Capital: Gathenion
- Anthem: "Rejoice, for Larett is standing strong"
- Languages: Larettian, Scortan, Kubesthian
- Status: Minor Power, Buffer State between Scorta and Tagrait-Skamreik
- Description: Larett lays in the East, bordering Tagrait-Skamreik to the north, Scorta to the south, and Vadria to the west. Its biggest features are its enormous mines, in which lots of precious metals and especially Tavinium can be found. On paper, Larett is ruled by the Likars, a council of powerful mages, and the archmage they elect every ten years, but in practice, mining magnates and traders hold most of the power, since the country has little fertile soil and is reliant on trade to sustain itself.
- Political Model:
- Councilism
- Capitalism
- Kleptocracy
- Mage Rule
- Oligarchy
- Plutocracy
- Peoples' Union of Tagrait-Skamreik
- Capital: Pvasa
- Anthem: "Revolutionary March"
- Languages: Tagraiti, Skamrian
- Status: Great Power
- Description: Having gone through a highly complicated revolution a few decades ago, Tagrait-Skamreik is a Zavatist State, which means it follows the Ideology of the Political Theorist Kovim Zavat. Zavat is in favor of extremely Authoritarian Measures to protect workers, so Tagrait-Skamreik is an Imperialist, Foreign Meddling, Totalitarian Police State that claims to exist for the worker. While unpopular with foreigners, its public displays of power and Worker Welfare make it internally semi-stable.
- Political Model:
- Republic of Fyknaren
- Capital: Laastrenthelm
- Anthem: "People, come together"
- Languages: Fyknarian, Skamrian
- Status: Regional Power
- Description: Fyknaren, a state located to the north of Vriskr and to the West of Tagrait-Skamreik, was a kingdom, until a popular uprising brought down the Queen and the Aristocracy. After this, the country was governed as a partisan democracy, and its industry, mostly focused on lumber and steel production, began to steadily grow over time. The nation has a large diaspora of Skamreikians, who fled from the Tagraiti-Skamrian War, and its politicians often have to balance the interests of its extremely socialist neighbors and its own growing industrial class, which leads to the election season being incredibly tense.
- Political Model:
- Parties:
- Peoples' Republic of Vriskr
- Capital: Zuvac
- Anthem: "March of Zuvac"
- Languages: Vriskarian, Vadrian, Tagraiti, Zeisk
- Status: Regional Power
- Description: The PRV is a partisan democratic, extremely leftist State to the North of Radinia. The State started out as a monarchy, but after a long line of incompetent and unpopular kings, multiple revolutions shook Vriskr to its very core, eventually leading to the murder of the Royal family and the establishment of a liberal democracy. That democracy shifted continuously to the left over time, and is now explicitly socialist, being allied with Tagrait-Skamreik and an IKSVR member. Many Vriskarians are discontent with this state of affairs, which has lead to the rise of multiple Reactionary and Monarchist groups (one example being the Vriskarian Monarchists in Exile), who are gladly being supported by Emporia.

Jamyr
- Peoples' Republic of Angkut
- Capital: Kaantun
- Anthem: "What is Right?"
- Languages: Angkutian, Kaskilian, Iugi
- Status: Regional Power, IKSVR Member
- Description: Angkut lays in the Northwest of Jamyr. It is a Socialist state, since in 1480, the Tribal territories of the Old Angkutian Tribes, as well as the Iugi and some Kaskilian tribes, were joined together through an agreement between the tribal chiefs, whose worries about Churcian Expansion greatly trumped their Pride and Xenophobia. The tribes, especially those in the north, found Socialism to fit onto their former economic system the best. Angkut is governed by a Parliament with a weak Presidency, ensuring that the interests of all political groups are at least considered, so as not to reenvigorate Tribal tensions. Currently, Angkut is embroiled in a war with the Great Churcian Empire, defending their southern territory against Ciangau's greed.
- Political Model:
- Political Parties:
- Republic of Danvuliria
- Capital: Rinvesce
- Anthem: "Andrasvasu"
- Languages: Danvulirian, Churcian
- Status: Minor Power
- Description: Danvuliria is a small breakaway state, having fought a war of independence against the Great Churcian Empire from 1510 to 1512. It is lead by the nationalist dictator Lasvit Zvar'zviere. The political system in Danvuliria can be divided into Pro- and Anti-Lasvit camps, the former consisting of the government and the Workers Unions, the latter consisting of Anti-Authoritarian Rebels and Rich Capitalists. This economic battle is important for the entire world, since Danvuliria exports many important minerals and consumer goods of high quality. The state also engages in literal battles, as it allies with Angkut in the ongoing Churcian-Angkutian War.

- Republic of the Seas of Lztrekch
- Capital: Ykhmythup
- Anthem: "Abyssal Sonate No.III"
- Languages: Lztrekchian, Kubesthian, Scortan
- Status: Regional Power
- Description: Lztrekch is another small group of islands, however, unlike Kramm and Shoikai, the islands that make it up are small, barren and rocky. Most of the State is actually comprised of the water around the islands, as it is inhabited by Deeplurkers, an amphibian species who can live their lives underwater. The settlements on the islands are small and mostly made for visitors and diplomats, while the real cities, including the capital, Ykhmythup, were constructed under the water. The population of Lztrekch, of whom a lot are refugees from other countries, vote two Consuls (or Tchothei) into power every three years. Because of their democratic system, they get along well with many democratic states, and they are one of the supporters of Zeismarkian Separatism. Deeplurkers are also naturally very egalitarian, sharing what could almost be called a hivemind through Tavinium, which means that Lztrekch has an outstandingly leftist history. The current policies are actually seen as very right-wing by most Lztrkchians, but the consuls see them as neccessary to appease other world powers.

- Capital: Squisake, Frestreeth[1]
- Anthem: "I am a Jamyrian"
- Languages: Emporian, Ul-Jamyrut, Scortan, Kubesthian
- Status: Regional Power
- Description: The 13th century saw the discovery of the continent of Jamyr, and almost immediately, the attempted colonialization of it by the Previan Powers (////). However, thanks to the rich reserves of Tavinium[2] in Jamyr, and the magical tradition of the natives, the colonial wars were a disaster for the Previans. Only a few parts of Jamyr were colonized by Emporia and Scorta, and Radinia, Vriskr and Tagrait got nothing at all. Emporia soon took over Scortas colonies in the second half of the colonial wars. They held the territories for around 100 years, after which the colonies rebelled against the crown and declared independence. They governed themselves for 200 years after that, mostly as a democracy.

- Description: The Khay Kingdom borders the Acolonial State of East Jamyr to the South. Unlike the ASEJ, the Kingdom has never been conquered due to its highly skilled sailors and mages, and their ability to adapt, reverse engineering guns in little time. Presently, Khay is ruled over by Kings Locs and Sicshay Vhey, a pair of brothers, and a small parliament of Nobles and Businesspeople. Labour Unions are allowed to exist, but Zavatists and similarly extreme Socialists are persecuted by the state. Their relation to most other states is relatively cordial, but border skirmishes with individual settlers from the ASEJ aren't a rarity.

Regional Governments
West Radinian Republic
The West Radinian Republican Army, a faction of the Radinian Republican Congress, has built up the West Radinian Republic. This Progressive, Liberal Democracy exists since 1561, and it has the most functional institutions in the country.
- Republican State of the Starden Dunes
- The Starden Dune State is the primary trading hub of Radinia. It comprises a huge part of the Radinian coastline. This meant that, when the Liberal movement that had enveloped the port cities of Western Radinia lead to the WRRA forming, it was easily supplied with foreign weapons, food and volunteers. With those supplies, the WRRA was able to overthrow the State government during the early stages of the Civil War, and it has been in Republican control ever since. It is now the most secure, peaceful and livable state in Radinia.
- Republican State of the Marshlands
- This swampy, sparsely populated region of Radinia fell to the WRRA in 1564, when a Prison Work Camp in the swamp experienced food shortages, which lead to a revolt by the prisoners. Most of them being imprisoned for their political views, they gave the camp to the WRRA as a base and most of them joined the army to fight against their opressors. The locals were sympathetic to the Republicans as well, since they had been neglected by the Royal government and saw many prisoners and penal labourers being mistreated. Today, the Marshlands are the most leftist state in the Republic, being led by a coalition of the Progressive Party and the Agrarian Populists, under the stewardship of governor Heglia Weißrinde, with the WRRA-aligned Revolutionary Militant Party being in the opposition. They also want better relations with Zeismark, probably since the living situations in the two states are quite similar.
- Free City Clavouria
- The Graveyard City. The ground on which Clavouria was build is rich in a magical sediment which revives the dead into intelligent Zombies. Therefore, this city has been transformed into a nearly One-Species City, populated mostly by Undead. It is ran by a council of Wise Men, who are elected by all people of the city. It is the only part of Radinia that was almost completely unaffected by the Civil War, because before and after, the Wise Men and the upper class of the city have always managed to keep the Monarchy at bay, and since the city is mostly comprised of Undead, they aren't dependent on food or medicine from abroad. After the civil war ended, the West Radinian Republican Army demanded the city to join their new Republic, and since the wise men knew they could not withstand a direct campaign from the WRRA, they agreed.

Legionary State of South Radinia
The Second Radinian Legion, a Private Military under the command of the Emporian Noble Joshias Deranco, has control over the entire South of continental Radinia. While they are officially on the payroll of the Emporian Queen[3], they act as an independent governing body in South Radinia, not as a colony.
- Protectorate of Buurland
- Buurland was always described as "the Stomach of Radinia", both because of its importance to the nation's food supply and because of its weak border, which Emporian regiments have often tried to invade. The last of those invasions was attempted during the Radinian civil war, and while it was a huge failure for the Emporian army, the SRL eventually invaded the state during the "week of terror" in early 1563, crushing the Radinian Royal Army and installing themselves as the state government. Since then, retaking Buurland for Radinia has been a stated goal for basically all Unitarist groups.
- Protectorate of Southern Valten and Staucken
- After they had taken Buurland, the SRL had found themselves being surrounded on all sides by Radinian Armies, all of whom absolutely hated Emporian Imperialism. Under severe and deadly pressure, Deranco decided to strike in the West, where the Royal Army and the Republicans were already fighting each other. While the fighting initially went bad for the Legion, the King's death and the Revolution in the capital threw the RRA into confusion and disarray, eventually leading to their retreat. Since then, the Legion holds the lands of southern Valten, while working tirelessly on the Deranco Line, a massive Trench Network holding off the WRRA from conquering the state from the North. The inhabitants of Southern Valten and Staucken have it quite a bit worse than their Buurlandian countrymen, since the SRL is much more ruthless and paranoid in this actively contested territory than in the relatively peaceful Buurland.
Remnant Radinia
- Keiranship Kammen
- Kammen is notable because of two things: It houses the Irkibe of Espen, an important spiritual center of the Grimei Religion, and it was always extremely Monarchist. The last unit of the RRA to surrender was stationed here, and even after they were disbanded, the Reginal Conspiracy immediately spread into Kammen, partially to get the Church under their control, partially just because it was easy. Officially, when the king and the Lord of Kammen were killed by Tartar the Devourer, the claim to the State was transferred to the Keiran, the Grimei spiritual leader.
- Principality Nalzen
- The Princess of Nalzen, Jacka, was one of the many royals killed by Tartar the Devourer in his rampage. After that, the reign over the state was passed on to her young son, who was woefully inexperienced, so he passed on his power to his mothers' top advisor, Piethelm Goss. Goss and his good friend, former RRA Officer Griskine Polck, struck a deal with the Secundus Aelius' forces to strengthen their hold over the population, which has lead to the Reginal Conspiracists having an iron grip on Nalzen. The only real opposition is the states' Mage Community, who are powerful due to the states' rich Tavinium deposits, and don't like that power being taken away by the Conspiracists.

- Free State Geitterland
- Located on the Radinian eastern border, Geitterland has always been connected to the neighbor country of Scorta. The State Capital, Seeren (formerly named Searis), actually lies closer to the National Capital of Scorta (named Areia) than it does to Rados. So, when the King died, Scortan troops soon marched into Geitterland, with the official mission to ensure that the border would not be breached, but were quite obviously there to secure Scorta's interests in the region. After some skirmishes, the Radinian Royal Army had to give up their positions in Geitterland. The Scortan troops then occupied Geitterland for a while, during which time they installed a very favourable leadership, and eventually left Radinian grounds to fight a war at the northern border of their own country.
Independent
- Free Zeiske
- Situated in the far northwest of Radinia, and cut off from the other parts of the country by the Dragon Mountains in the east and the swampy coastline to the south, Zeiske is not ethnically Radinian, being the homeland of the Zeisk ethnicity. It has been home to a strong Separatist movement for years, and when the King was killed and the state collapsed, this movement has used the Chaos to declare Zeiske a free, sovereign nation. The Zeiskean Separatist Union (ZSU) has radically decentralized the country, giving control of most policy to a council of different local leaders, the Vansers, who are overseen by a relatively weak central government. The state is currently fighting a counter-revolutionary force helmed by former RRA Officer Thedo Kresper, which is secretly funded by the WRRA in order to unite Zeiske with their territory.

- Guildenery of the Dragon Mountains
- The Dragon Mountains are a very hostile place, however, they have been made the Corporate State of the Pyromaniac's Guild. This part of Radinia has been swept up by the Guild during the Decline and eventual Collapse of the Monarchy and turned into a Corporate State.
- Free City Rados
- Rados once housed the King, and functioned as Radinia's capital both on paper and in terms of political power. The City often suffered from corruption and systemic violence in the city guard, and most citizens came to despise the Royal family. This was the perfect opportunity for a Radinian Socialist by the name of Leto Maßmann, who recently split from the RWPF over ideological issues. He started to build an underground socialist movement, and when Tartar The Devourer entered the city, intent on killing the king, they instigated a city-wide revolt against the guard. They then proceeded to wipe out the city guard in a brutal street fighting campaign, entered the palace, staged a few executions, and installed a city government.
- Rados Outskirts Autonomous Zone
- During the Battle of Rados, a split in the Revolutionaries made itself apparent: There was the main group, the Socialists under Maßmann, who wanted just to take the city as fast as possible, and an outgroup of hardliners, who felt so betrayed by the Royalty and their army that they wanted to kill or capture as many Royalists as they could. The two groups collaborated through the battle, but afterwards they quickly turned on each other. The Hardliners, now the Skullsplitter band, left the city before the conflict turned violent. They then took over some villages right outside of town, where they now try to build their own government.
- Fraktal-Pondlands Autonomous Zone
- This territory is currently in the hands of the notorious Fraktal Band, a criminal cult which has terrorised the Radinian countryside since the start of the civil war. After the battle of Prastenheim, where they were beaten by a coalition of the Bloodhand Band and the Anheem City Army, the band was forced to retreat to the pondlands, where they promptly massacred the locals and set up their terror regime. They are currently resisting attempts to conquer their land by the WRRA.

- Free Territory of Hohenreben
- Hohenreben is a very mountainous region. Its dominant industries are mining, smelting and metalworking, and it was always heavily controlled by the army, the aristocracy, and the mining companies. During the Radinian Revolution, the state split into the urban areas, which were mostly Royalist, and the countryside, where the empoverished mine workers joined Revolutionary groups en masse. Vriskr, who would stand to gain power from a socialist state on their southern border, sent massive aids to the miners, which eventually lead to the overthrow of the Hohenrebener Aristocracy. The countryside of Hohenreben is controlled by the United Mine Workers of Radinia and the Weapon Mechanics' Union of Radinia, two powerful Industrial Unions, while the cities are mostly governed by independent city councils.

- Kauvatten has been under the rule of the Von Bruck family for most of Radinias existence. The family has always been a rival to the Von Hohenreben family, however they never went into open revolt. At least until their last daughter, Nadia von Bruck, befriended the Communist Soldier Kristene Bochte. Bochte influenced Nadia quite a bit, installing a hatred for the Von Hohenrebens and a communist worldview in the young royal. When Nadias parents died in Tartar the Devourers attack, the rule over Kauvatten transferred to her. She immediately gave half her territory to the RWPF. However, since she was still very young, many bands have seized the opportunity to exploit an unexperienced governess, constantly raiding and causing mayhem on the states' weakly defended peripheries.

- Free City Anheem
- Anheem was a very powerful city even before the Collapse. As a trade hub, Anheem was very rich and relatively free. In the Radinian civil war, the city was controlled by the stationed royal city guard for a while, until they got ordered off to other fronts. Anheem then stayed independent for the rest of the war, though it took heavy losses from raids by bands. The citizens were organized into a city army, and they dealt a decisive blow to the Fraktal Band in the Battle of Prastenheim, chasing the band out of Southeast Radinia. From then on, the city stayed independent, and it seized much of the fertile farmland in its general vicinity. The mayor and city council have built up relations to the WRRA, which keeps the RAF-controlled Kauvattian Home Guard off their back, and is part of a plan by the WRRA to push east and unite Radinia once more. If they will respect Anheems Free City Status after they achieve this goal, is a question that will define Anheems politics for a long time.
- Protectorate of the Wasteland
- The Wasteland is a vast, Desert-like area of Radinia, situated in the far northwest. It is an enclave of Radinia that is mostly surrounded by Vadria, Glimburg and Vriskr instead of other Radinian states. The Wasteland has not been invaded due to being very undesirable and not worth starting a war over. The charred and ashy wastes are the result of a war in the twelfth century, where the King of Vriskr deployed an army of Pyromagicians to beat the Royal Radinian Army, not aware that the land they were fighting on had a strong magical aura. This resulted in an unbelievably massive explosion and a magical fallout that rendered the land infertile forever. Since then, the Wastes are only populated by a few small communities of Undead and Demons, and have been in the control of Radinia. It's currently unaccounted for by anyone in Radinia or out.
- Southern Wastes Autonomous Zone
- The Third of the Autonomous Zones, this one is occupied by the Bloodhand Band. They siezed a small part of the Borderlands of Ekterland and the Wasteland, where they can still grow food, but aren't occupying such a profitable strip of land that it becomes a big target. From here, they often go on raids in Ekterland and Kauvatten.
- Territory of Hoeltrum-Breike
- Much like Zeismark, Hoeltrum-Breike is a Territory with a native ethnic minority population. The Breikian people were conquered by Dorian I. in the 1400s, incorporating it into the Radinian Kingdom. From then on, it has served as a strategic point in the rivalry between Radinia and Emporia, housing many Naval Bases, in which lots of Breikians served as sailors. When the news of the Revolution reached Hoeltrum-Breike, due to Admirals being ordered to send their ships to Zeismark to lay siege to the Peninsula. The Breikian sailors rebelled, taking control of the harbors, and quickly, the Breikian Liberty Party was formed. This party organized the Breikian Rebellion, which was a swift success due to the remaining Radinian Navy being unable to push through the Hoeltrum strait. Parallel to this, they reorganized the Breikian government, throwing out the Aristocracy and bringing in an elected parliament of Revolutionary leaders.

- Lordship Ekterland
- Ekterland is situated in the east of Radinia, on the border to Scorta. It has always been greatly afflicted by conflicts between the two countries, and during the Chaos of the Radinian civil war, it has been raided multiple times by most of the big, dangerous criminal bands, due to its abundance of resources. The Knight Order of Ekterland, that had been disbanded for decades, was brought back to protect the State, and is currently experiencing clashes with the Bloodhand Band and the Great Grey Horde.
Factions
- Bloodhand Band
- Formed in 1560, the Bloodhand Band is a dangerous scourge of the hills of Eastern Radinia, ruthlessly and indiscriminately attacking everyone they want to, plundering, murdering, raiding, and engaging in other cruel behaviour. They are the boogeyman of many a faction, being described as the pinnacle of degeneracy and immorality.
- Dead Company
- The Dead Company, aka First Undead Infantry Division, was a Division of Undead Soldiers that fought for the Radinian Royal Army in the beginning phases of the civil war. The Soldiers of the Company were known as being nearly invincible (due to them being undead), but they were also highly religious Tzykhtzyrs and had strong socialist sympathies. They were genuinely respected by their enemies, since they fought with honour, bravery, and never committed war crimes, which was quite rare among any faction in the Civil War. When the king died in 1563, the Commander of the Dead Company decided that enough was enough, and he and his troops defected into the wasteland. There, they built a completely isolated commune, where they hoped to be free to live however they pleased.
- Drijnskena
- The Drijnskena were a family in 13th century Zeiske, who were famous for their contributions to the Second Zeiskean Uprising, for which many of them were executed by the Radinian government. The name of the family was subsequently ordered erased from any official document, a measure meant to curb their name recognition and influence on unruly Separatists, which completely backfired and resulted in their name being known to virtually every Zeiskean. Today, the Drijnskena Family is probably extinct, although that is hard to verify due to Zeiskean Naming conventions. Their name now adorns a group within the Zeiskean Separatist Union, who are known for being some of the most important fighters. They are currently on a campaign against the Royal Army of Zeismark. As a splinter group, they are also particularly interested in the Trading Community in Zeiske, which differentiates them from the mostly Agrarian ZSU.
- Foundation for the Preservation of the Royal Treasure
- This foundation, created in 1564 by some 50 officers of the RRA, was originally meant to secure as much of the property of the Radinian Monarchy for the Conservative side of the civil war. The Officers started by seizing Royal Property in all the areas they already controlled, and soon started to form raids into neutral or even enemy territory, stealing as much of the Royal treasure as possible. After the war ended, the Foundation quickly got infiltrated by members of the Reginal Conspiracy, and now mostly works as their reptile fund.
- Fraktal Band
- The most brutal and feared of all the criminal bands in Radinia, this band got their start during the beginning of the Civil War and have terrorized almost all parts of Radinia at some point or another. At the hugely decisive battle of Prastenheim, where they went up against a coalition of Radinian Communists, other bandits and local city militias, the band was defeated, which caused them to retreat into the Pondlands, where they were also documented to commit countless atrocities against the native population. Structurally, they take the form of a highly centralized Cult of Personality, where their leader, "Master Derivan", can command every single bandit to do anything he wants.

- Free Radinian Royal Army
- In 1564, the Radinian Royal Army officially surrendered to the Radinian Republican Congress. The victorious rebels decided to disband the high command of the army, which led to the rest of army falling into a state of disarray. The so-called "Free Radinian Royal Army" is less of an organized force, and more of a collective term for a bunch of disconnected militant cells that were once RRA units.

- The General's Band
- Six Assassins, known as the General's Band, were a very volatile force during the civil war. While there were many murderers-for-hire active in the civil war, the General's Band was more effective than any of their competitors, and they collected huge sums of wealth and were strongly feared. They still sometimes strike, killing influencial people and never getting caught.
- Great Grey Horde
- This gang is seen as a relic of the past. It is made up exclusively of Orcs, who believe that raiding, pillaging and raping is in the nature of their species. Their type of raiding, being done mostly with Sabers, are a reminder of the time at which the South of Radinia was regularly overran by Nomadic Horsemen from the South, and their view of their own species has made them absolutely despised with other Orcs.

- The RAF is Radinia's Primary Zavatist movement. Therefore, it formed very recently, being one of the youngest groups partaking in the current events. As expected from a Zavatist movement, they are highly authoritarian, and have become infamous for their Red Terror during the Civil War. They are also suspected to be agents for Tagrait-Skamreik.

- Reginal Conspiracy
- The Reginal Conspiracy formed shortly after King Darius' death, being made up of the King's close advisor Secundus Aelius and a few of his political allies, but eventually growing to include much of the surviving Radinian Aristocracy and many Remnantists. The group involves itself in conflicts in Radinia and abroad, with the main goal to turn the fractured state into a unitary, centralized and highly hierarchical nation. They, or at least the members who are not just power-hungry opportunists, believe in the so-called "Radinian Idea", a National Mythos proclaiming that the Radinians are a uniquely determined people, and that their resistance was what caused the collapse of the Tiat Empire. Most Reginalists, including Aelius, aim for a self-sufficient nation being helmed by a largely powerless king, with their like, a small group of advisors and nobles, as the true authority.
- Reginal Youth
- Despite its name, the Reginal Youth is not a Youth organization. It is a paramilitary gang, fulfilling the role of the brutal enforcers for the Conspiracy, intimidating Critics and clashing with socialists. They even sometimes work as footsoldiers for the Remnant States, notably, they fought against the Bloodhand Band in early 1566, where they lost. Ideologically, the Youth is more varied than their shadowy masters, ranging from plain Ultranationalists and Grimei restorationists to the most esoteric of Fascists.
- Remnantists
- The Remnant, or Remnantists, are what is left over of the old Radinian Aristocracy. Because many important Nobles were wiped out in the war, particularly by Tartar the Devourer's storming of the Royal Palace and the Red Terror of the RAF, most Remnantists are Minor nobility, landed gentry or even just Rich Monarchists without any Title. Additionally, the Free RRA generally counts as Remnantist, mostly among the officers[5]. These leftover elites govern many parts of central and Eastern Radinia, but they lack an internal structure and almost exclusively operate on a local level, which limits their power and makes them easy targets, both for interest groups who seek to manipulate their government, and to outside forces who seek to reunify Radinia .

- Sandstorm Cartel
- Drugs, Prostitution and Weapons are the business of this group. They are massively influential, having cells in most Radinian cities, where they dominate the Urban crime scene. Smaller urban gangs are routinely wiped out in the most brutal ways by them, which shows how good their equipment is. They are organized in a highly hierarchical structure, with a Sand Demon naming herself Donovia Heckler as their leader.

- Skullsplitter Band
- Starting out as a hardline faction in the Rados Commune, the Skullsplitter Band have devolved into just another criminal group. They operate out of the Rados Outskirts Autonomous Zone, where they have taken over and forced many people out of their homes, and often go on raids into WRRA Territory. While they claim to be Anarchists, they also have a dedicated council of leaders who guide their actions, which is claimed to only be transitional.

Religions
- Grimeianism
- While the real beginnings of this religion are the stuff of myths, it was first mentioned in scripts from the early days of the Tiat Empire, which makes it likely that it originated in one of the tribes the Tiat conquered. It became the Tiats state religion in 130 b.X.[7] and then spread around all of the Previan continent while it was under the Tiats reign. Nowadays, it‘s still practiced in much of Previa and in very small amounts in the ASEJ. While there, of course, exist fragmentations in the church, the central doctrine of Honesty, Loyalty and Bravery, as well as the Semi-Polytheistic conception of The Divine, unites all Grimei Believers. Conversion of Non-Believers was never really a priority for the Faith itself, only Tiat Power Politics made it so widespread, and the usage of Grimeianism for political gains has always been a staple of life in Radinia and elsewhere.

- Furaz Dar
- This religion is practiced in the Ucayanates of Urlan and Hysa, as well as in the lands southeast of Urlan where very few Radinians ever stepped foot. It is a monotheistic religion, and the only religion focused on converting non-believers. Furaz Dar missionaries can be found in every bigger city, but they live dangerous lives. Their motivation is the doctrine of Welfare and comraderie among believers, and the loads of money that can be made with church tithes. Ucayans are seen as the spiritual leaders of the religion, which only contributes to hostility to Furaz Dar expansion.

- Tzykhtzyrs
- Tzykhtzyrs is a religion practiced mostly by what are commonly called "Deeplurkers", an amphibian race that lives primarily in the waters and on the islands of the Previan Sea. The Deeplurkers swear they regularly see proof of their gods in the Deep Sea, but this is obviously very hard to verify. Practicioners believe in a group of extradimensional gods, knows as "The Kchuk", who, according to the religions' lore, have created the world entirely unconsciously, and are entirely apathetic to all life. Priests ("Luwyzhk") must practice bizarre and highly complicated rituals involving magic and sacrificing small animals, the purpose of which has not yet been revealed. Generally, Tzykhtzyrs is a highly secretive religion, and it is widely believed that it was once a Mystery Cult. The Ctzeyt Monument, a giant structure built in the waters before the Radinian coast, serves as the central hub of Tzykhtzyrs. Most practicioners journey to the Monument at least once in their lives, and the many communal priests travel there to collectively decide on Church policies.

- Cult of Lthyr
- The Cult of Lthyr is an offshoot of Tzykhtzyrs, which split from the Church over matters of Centralisation as well as Theological disagreements in 1526. The Cult believes that the true doctrine of Tzykhtzyrs, and the truth about the Kchuk, was misinterpreted, and that the Church has lost most of its legitimacy over the years. The Cult Leader believes that the Kchuk know about the universe they created, and that their will is to be directly interpreted by a centralized Church Authority. The current Leader of the Cult, Ykuzh Ptugh, interprets the Kchuks will in the following way: The cult needs to focus all its efforts on creating the maximal possible amount of Chaos, to weaken the force of intrinsic unity and order that keeps the Kchuk at bay, which is why any kind of orderly behaviour is punished (in a random way) by the Cult. However, Ptugh also instructs her followers to give as much of their earthly posessions as they can afford to her, which she claims she can uniquely use in a way so completely random and chaotic that no one else can even comprehend or learn it. Additionally, the Cult is extremely militaristic, since Ptugh believes violence and war is a way to effectively spread chaos.

- Brownbandism/Artiln Bierks Thought
- Artiln Bierks, the 1537 born General of the Breikian Liberty Party, and his "Brownbands", are the heroes of the Breikian Revolution. They are, of course, Separatists first and foremost, which is why they oppose the WRRA despite sharing a devotion to the Splinter Movement. There are also other differences. While many WRRA higher-ups are "Old Splinterists", the Brownbands are "New Splinterists", and their conceptions of Radinian history and its effects are very different. Nonetheless, talks between WRRA and BFP diplomats are a constant of political life in Southwestern Radinia, since the two groups share enemies ().

- Kämmererism
- Tielick Ingwald Kämmerer, born in 1530, is the Banner General (the highest military rank possible) of the West Radinian Republican Army. Styling himself a Philosopher as well as a Military Man, he argues against the Grimeian belief in Virtue Ethics and believes instead that the ends justify the means. His main goal is to unite Radinia as a Republic, and he is willing to do all it takes to achieve it. This has earned him criticism, with some accusing him of Ultranationalism and sympathies to the Reginal Group.

- National Triumviratism
- The Emporian National Triumvirate is made up of the three Aristocrats Clest Vriscars, Archenius Phirron and Spyria Lithes. Lithes joined the Triumvirate after her father Gitinius passed away from a bad fever, and the two other men accepted her because of her firm devotion to their cause, despite this rendering the title "Triumvirate" slightly ironic. The three Nobles scheme to overthrow the House of Jeacern and install a Progressive National Republic, and what they lack in Emporian allies, they make up for in foreign benefactors, with many Fyknarian, Scortan and ASEJ politicians supporting them against the Dairellites. Since the Triumvirate is situated near the Urlanish border, Urlan also covertly supports them in order to weaken their regional enemy.

- Poschtism
- Lilizia Poscht, born 1526, is the current President of the Western Radinian Republic, standing with the Revolutionary Militant Party. She hails from a merchant family from Leodinsheim, who paid for her education in a private academy, where she excelled in Political Science. She is a hardline Radinian Nationalist, and one of the driving forces behind WRRA Militarism. She is driven to reunite all, yes, ALL , of Radinia, under the banner of Democratic, Liberal Republicanism, and her idealistic dream is a United World Republic. Because of this, she is an extremely controversial figure in Western Radinia.

- Darius III. Thought
- Darius III. of Hohenreben, born in 1498, was King of Radinia from 1521 to 1563. Widely detested for his ignorance and arrogance, he was one of the least popular kings of any Previan country in recent memory. The most consequential of his failures include his Absolutist aspirations and open disdain for the Parliamentary process, his political corruption and Cronyism which lead to him giving important positions almost exclusively to friends and favourites, his Jingoistic and Clumsy foreign policy, and his terrible handling of the Radinian Civil War.

- Thedo Kresper Thought
- Thedo Kresper was born in 1542, as the son of a blacksmith and a dockworker, and lived most of his youth in the Zeiskean town of Sperkzijd, where he eventually volunteered for the Zeiskean State Guard. He served in Zeiske during the civil war, and when the Zeiskean State Guard was disbanded, he joined Njerke Rehfängers "Royal Army of Zeiske" instead. After Rehfängers death, Kresper became leader of the RAZ. Currently, he is a mercenary in the employ of the WRRA, who uses the RAZ to weaken Zeiske in preparation of an invasion of their own. Politically, Kresper strikes an interesting balance between Royalist Conservatism and Liberalism, as well as being a student of Azan Cyrzan. If this political balancing act will work out for him and the RAZ, or if his fate is to be crushed by the ZSU or WRRA, only time can tell.

- Lasvit Zvar'zviere is the Dictator of Danvuliria. He was born in 1531, and grew up in a town on the southern border of the newly independent state, where he experienced conflict with troops of the Churcian Empire, which made him highly suspicious of foreigners. He went to a local military college along with his sister, and over the years, they rose through the ranks of the Danvulirian military, eventually joining the General Council that had control over the country. His charm, his appeals to workers and poor people, and his pragmatic approach led him to eventually become the unambiguous leader of the General Council, which he eventually abolished. He has expanded welfare programs, and has radically empowered workers Unions, but he also employs violence against enemies of the state and is openly hostile to most of his neighbors.

- ↑ Both cities share the title of capital. While the Highest Minister and the parliament are based in Frestreeth, Squisake is the "cultural capital", biggest and most populous city, as well as the seat of the Jamyrian supreme court.
