PCBaller World/Norway-Sweden/Organizations/Volunteer Militia for National Security

The Volunteer Militia for National Security, or very simply the FMNT, and commonly known as or the Redberets, is an all-volunteer militia for the National Norwegian People's Republic, with the goal of keeping the peace, rooting out national traitors, and serving as a paramilitary wing directly under the control of the Kansler Iefan Alstūd. Members are distinguished by their red berets, with officers wearing golden badges with a orange sword on it, a symbol common amongst nationalists in the NNF. Members swear an oath directly to the office of Kansler, and are expected to give their life in defense of the nation and the Kansler if needed. The FMNT first saw action during the 2039 Norwegian Coup, in which they worked hand in hand with the Zabójcy Zła and the Svenska Specialdivisionen to put down insurgents in Sweden. The only requirement to join the organization is that you have to prove at least 75% Norwegian ethnicity. The organization is mostly made up of former militiamen, with the ratio of men to women in the organization being 27:23, a pretty even split.

The standard outfit of the FMNT differs by gender, though on a case-by-case basis members can apply for the outfit of the opposite gender, the outfit for women consisting of a dark red collared work shirt, with blue cuffs, and a tan skirt, boots, with the most prominent piece of the outfit being the beret of course, outfitted with a golden badge with an orange sword in the center. The male standard outfit being nearly the same, though tan trousers replacing the skirt in the female outfit.

The average FMNT equipment consists of a Krag–Jørgensen M2038, the Krag–Jørgensen design being picked up again post-revolution as a uniquely Norwegian rifle, the state working to modernise the rifle to modern standards, the KJ M38 as it's often referred to, released in 2038 to much acclaim, being a cutting edge semi-automatic carbine rifle, becoming common equipment amongst the military as well. The rifle is medium to long ranged, consists of 16 round magazines, chambered in .308 Winchester. For a sidearm, the FMNT kit consists of a Kongsberg M36. The final piece of the kit being a combat knife, given to all FMNT members upon swearing their oath to the Kansler, the knife being a distinct symbol of the FMNT, having the logo of the militia engrained into the handle, the other side of it having the common orange sword on gold.
