Our end goal has always been the same; the destruction of the commodity form, the abolition of the present state of things... of classes and hence the state, and the acceleration of the development of the forces of production. Why is it then that we cling on so dearly to the methods of the old order?
The "Dictatorship of the Proletariat" as it is so-called has failed. It has failed because in its very existence- that being of domination of one class over others, it can not destroy the state form but simply strengthens it, often to the detriment of the construction of socialism. We cannot be communists if we support the very class and state form which has gotten us into this mess.
Any gains made by the Dictatorship of the Proletariat have not been because of the domination of one class over another, but because of the explicit destruction of class relations and the socialization of all property.
The goal of the communists, nay, should not be to socialize property- or even to "communize it". It should be the abolition of property as a whole; it is the abolition of the property form and the destruction of the idea of "ownership" in of itself, subject immediately. The proles should not "own"- nor should anyone, for the idea of 'ownership' is what we must abolish itself.
