Ofc Castro has plenty of bruh moments, but also ousted this mf, increased literacy and healthcare, and led Cuba to a path of independence instead of being a western puppet (and the US was an aggressor a lot of the time seeing how they backed Autista, and started the Bay of Pigs Invasion

now that I think about it, Castro does seem kind of based when you think about it, based nationalism, based international anti-imperialist solidarity, and based cultural stances, if only he phased out state socialism with a more viable form of left-wing economics + redeem himself for the bruh moments he did then he'd finally rise above his middling rank -

• Castro is fucking cringe in my book no matter what he does. Literacy in Cuba was already one of the best in literacy in Latin America before Castro so he didn't need to do much.while Batista was bad i will admit he was way better than Castro and the bay of pigs was justified.-
