User:JonahF2014/Reading list & Videos

Here my reading list (stuff I have read and want to read) as well as my video recommendations.

The reading list isn't an endorsement, just a collection, the video list is a very strong endorsement however.

Stuff I've read

Stuff that I've read, this doesn't mean I agree with it, just that I've read it and that is potentially influenced my ideology to some extent.
This list in the order in which I've read the literature.

  • COMBAT LIBERALISM by Mao Zedong (17/04/2023)
    • Idk why I was told to read this. I agree with some points, but some others are a bit silly.
  • On Nationalism by Kim Jong-Il & FLPH (14/05/2023)
    • Really good read, can only recommend. The distinction which the DPRK draws between bourgeoisie nationalism and true nationalism is in party something I can agree with, additionally, the booklet lies out reasons for the compatibility between Nationalism and Socialism, which it clearly and accurately recognizes as an inherent and natural state of being. Addressing the modern-day American imperialism and their strive for the "Globalization" (destruction of nations) this accurately is also commendable. 10/10, 99.99% agreeable.
  • Homosexuality & White Nationalism by Greg Johnson (03/06/2023)
    • It is definitely very noticeable that this article comes from a different ideological background than me, thus there is plenty I cannot agree with; be is the blatant antisemitism or the call for "racial nationalism". Yet still, I believe this article makes valuable points for the Nationalist movement. He is indeed right that we should find our commonalities in nationality (not as he posits, "race") and not let the movement be divided and conquered by those that seek to harm our unified goal for the establishment of a nationalist order. Additionally, I could not more agree with his assessment that the concept of "sexuality" is novel, unnatural, and harmful; in this respect he his truly speaking from my heart, even if he does feel the need to ruin this passage by bribing antisemitism into it.
  • Migranten: Sie werden die Mächtigen sein by Vanessa Vu (07/06/2023)
    • Ooo the essay with the big evil GR advertisement,[1] had to read and see if it comes true to its advertisement; and no, not really. The article definitely describes a dystopian worldview and reality, and in fact, advocates against integration; but it isn't exactly Great Replacement advocacy I expected. Instead, it views it as a natural inevitability which we "have to adjust to", a terrifying worldview. The article reeks of liberalism and is dystopian, yes, but not necessarily in the exact way I expected.
  • Getrennt marschieren, vereint schlagen!? - Nationalrevolutionäre Ideologie und Strategie by Peter Konrad (08/06/2023)
    • I do think that analysis this text offers of fascism and the other phenomena it talks about is pretty good and well-portrayed, especially for a anti-fascist text. Despite it undeniably offering good insight into the movements with a decent analysis, it is still negativity biased wich becomes abundantly clear at the very disappointing conclusion. The author of this piece, while he clearly knows what he's talking about, he seems to be nothing more than a enlightened anarcho-liberal antifa-fanboy with no proper understanding of his own side. Also sad is that the article refuses to levy any actual critiques at the moments presented, he presents them well and fairly accurately, but then goes on to put them in a negative light without any reasons or arguments being presented. Unlike the text I read yesterday however, this essay was not at all painful to read, quite on the contrary in fact, it was quite nice until the conclusion.

Plan to Read

Stuff that I plan to read whenever I get the time and can be bothered, this doesn't mean I will agree with it, just that I find it to be interesting and that it might further my understanding of political theory and ideology. The books are in rough order but the order in which I actually end up reading them may differ.

Good Videos

Some good videos and channels that somewhat describe some of my believes or that I generally agree with. This doesn't mean these videos or channels are perfect or that I fully agree with them, just that I think they're good (or at least decent) at outlining some concept(s) I agree with.

"[!]" Means that I find the video especially good and important.
