Neo-Marxism is an ideology that seeks to incorporate new elements from other intellectual traditions into classical Marxism, such as Psychoanalysis critical theory and sometimes existentialism. Broadly speaking Neo Marxism incorporates Max Weber's understanding of social inequality into Marxist Philosophy. Some of the Most famous Neo-Marxist concepts are Theodore Adorno's and max Horkheimer Idea of the Culture Industry where they proposed that popular culture is akin to a factory producing standardized cultural goods—films, radio programmes, magazines, etc.—that are used to manipulate mass society into passivity, and Antonio Gramsci's theory of Cultural Hegemony.
