Directed Socialism is an ideology of Authoritarian Left, Nationalist, and Socialist nature that is culturally variable. It represents a synthesis of Socialism, Dirigisme, Federalism, and Universal Nationalism, as it believes that Federalism is the only way to provide autonomy to indigenous peoples.

History

Beliefs

Directed Socialism emerges as a synthesis of dirigisme, socialism, and federalism. The creators of Directed Socialism adhere to the idea of Universal Nationalism and socialism. They believe in having a federalist form of socialism, as the decentralization of the economy and states would allow each community to have its own nation. Directed Socialism embraces the notion that each state and community should have its nation representing it, making it a federalist and nationalist socialism that synthesizes dirigisme, federalism, and Universal Nationalism.

Directed Socialism advocates for the nationalization of large and medium-sized industries. It upholds the idea of Patria y Dirección ("Homeland and Direction"). The principles of this ideology include:

  1. Homeland: Homeland, for Directed Socialism, is the love for one's people, regardless of ethnicity or race, as Directed Socialism is nationalist rather than ethnic, believing in a single people.
  2. Direction: Direction, for Directed Socialism, involves directing the economy, forming a synthesis between socialism and dirigisme, as mentioned earlier.

Directed Socialism is essentially an ideology of Authoritarian Left and nationalism.

Government

Directed Socialism advocates for a government with direct democracy based on councils, which it calls “Directed Councils.” These councils would be decentralized and contribute to the economy. This demonstrates that Directed Socialism is based on the concept of council communism.

Regarding the issue of power, Directed Socialism opposes parliamentary systems and advocates for direct democracy. In this system, councils would vote for the presidential candidate. Instead of seeking to abolish the state, Directed Socialism aims to guide the state, making it Directed Socialism.

However, Directed Socialism does not pursue an internationalist socialism; rather, it leans towards a nationalist and federal socialism with socialist dirigisme and decentralization to provide autonomy to indigenous peoples.

Variants

DrasTherism

DrasTherism (also known as Balanced Socialism by DrasThe) is an authoritarian ideology based on the thoughts of Rodrigo “DrasThe”. It relies on revolutionary nationalism where the people choose the Government”s Decisions, as well as wealth distribution, salary increases, and adjusting taxes up or down if necessary. This makes DrasTherism similar to a Technocracy.

The principles of Balanced Socialism (or DrasTherism) would be:

  1. Balance in food prices: Ensuring accessibility and fairness in the distribution of essential resources.
  2. Salary increases: Seeking to strengthen economic stability and improve citizens' quality of life.
  3. Fair tax increases: Distributing the tax burden equitably to fund social programs.
  4. Combating famine: Implementing effective measures to ensure food security.
  5. Elimination of wealth-based discrimination: Advocating for financial equity and equal opportunities for all.
  6. Eradication of harassment: Committed to creating a social environment free from bullying and discrimination, Balanced Socialism aims to eradicate harassment and discrimination.
  7. Guarantee of safe streets: Working towards the ambitious goal of 100% citizen safety.
  8. Controlled legalization of certain drugs: Adopting a progressive stance regarding substances like marijuana, excluding cocaine.
  9. Promotion of workforce participation: Promoting inclusion and diversity in the workplace.
  10. Evaluation and adjustment of social programs: Maintaining flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of society.
  11. Transformation of private hospitals and schools into public ones: Seeking to ensure quality essential services accessible to all.

Balanced Socialism would be technocratic to some extent because in this government, the State (guided by socialism) would direct the economy and nationalize industries. In Balanced Socialism, the most capable would govern but would be guided by the people and by the Workers' Councils.

Étikusism

Étikusism (or Baxism) is a variant ideology of Directed Socialism based on Julius Maximus Étikus, a self-proclaimed Post-Rousseauian politician because he reinterprets Rousseau and “modernizes” him, in his own words.

Julius Maximus Étikus is a faithful follower of Directed Socialism and believes in a direct democracy based on decentralized workers' councils, but direct democracy would be imposed after a Esoteric Revolution.

Directed Social Democracy

Directed Social Democracy is a variant of Directed Socialism that, instead of advocating for socialism, pursues planned capitalism or authoritarian social democracy.

Directed Social Democracy shares similarities with Social Corporatism, as it promotes class collaboration and reform. It advocates for a corporatist welfare state where well-being is provided by the state, and classes cooperate with each other.

Despite being a descendant of Directed Socialism, the latter strongly opposes the ideas of Directed Social Democracy, considering it a form of "degeneration." Additionally, Directed Social Democracy, as mentioned earlier, seeks planned capitalism rather than socialism. It prefers planned capitalism as it believes it is a better alternative than expropriating the means of production, according to Directed Social Democracy.

Furthermore, Directed Social Democracy does not aim for a decentralized council communism but rather a semi-presidential system. This deviation from decentralized council communism could lead to labeling Directed Social Democracy as unorthodox in the eyes of Directed Socialism.
