What is this?
The Radinia Project (Working Title) is a fantasy world invented by Dr. Occo in the early 2020s. Multiple novels are planned, however none of them have even a first draft to show.
Concept and Worldbuilding
Radinia is a State on a European-inspired fantasy continent. As the Names of some characters might suggest, Radinia itself is stylistically inspired by Dr. Occo‘s fatherland, Germany. Radinia, in the canonically current year of 1566, is without any ruler by the time the story takes place, as its Monarch and most of the Nobility had been killed by a demon three years prior, in the exact middle of a brutal civil war between the Radinian Royal Army and a Rebellion of multiple, only loosely connected forces.
Groups
National Governments
- Kingdom of Radinia (currently without Ruler)
- Capital: Rados
- Anthem:
- Languages: Radinian, Zeisk, Breike-Radinian, Scortan
- Description: Radinia was a Kingdom, but a recent decline in competency of the kings and continuous power struggles between king, parliament and economy have lead to popular uprisings, that eventually sparked a civil war. While the civil war is officially over, Radinia has no unitary government.
- Political Model:
- Emporian Empire
- Capital: Acrist
- Anthem: "The King's Cloak is made of Rock and Earth"
- Languages: Emporian, Vrantkan
- Description: Emporia is a Monarchy, and has been for a long time. It currently tries to resist the revolutionary ideas sweeping the world, and has buried itself deep in Reactionaryism as a consequence. The King and Queen, who rule about equally, have allowed some Capitalist Reforms to keep economic power, but the nation does not even have a constitution or parliament, let alone democratic or liberal values.
- Political Model:
- Scortan Empire
- Capital: Areia
- Anthem: "The People's Guardian"
- Languages: Scortan, Vadrian
- Description: The Scortan Empire, through hundreds of years of conquest, has grown to be multiple times bigger than any of its neighbors. The Caesar rules, and upon a Caesar’s death (or voluntary retirement), the next Caesar is elected by the people. The current Caesar is Angelicus I., and due to him being undead, it might take a while until the Office changes hands. Fortunately, he is a popular and good leader, and he has decided to end the Imperialist policies for the time being.
- Political Model:
- Elective Monarchism
- Democracy
- Constitutional Monarchism
- Monarcho-Progressivism
- Roman Republicanism (Stylistically, advanced)
- Peoples' Republic of Vriskr
- Capital: Zuvac
- Anthem: "March of Zuvac"
- Languages: Vriskarian, Vadrian, Tagraiti, Zeisk
- Description: The PRV is a partisan democratic, extremely leftist State to the North of Radinia. The State started out as a monarchy, but after a long line of incompetent and unpopular kings, multiple revolutions shook Vriskr to its very core, eventually leading to the murder of the Royal family and the establishment of a liberal democracy. That democracy shifted continuously to the left over time, and is now explicitly socialist.
- Political Model:
- Parties:
- Independent Principality of Glimburg
- Capital: Altbaake
- Anthem: "The Star of Glimburg"
- Languages: Radinian, Vadrian, Scortan
- Description: Glimburg was a Principality of Radinia for quite a while, but it split from it during the Four-Cities-War 300 years ago. It stayed a Principality for most of them, but the king got overthrown a few years before the Radinian Civil War by the military. Now, General Viktus von Aarben rules Glimburg.
- Political Model:
- Kingdom of Vadria
- Capital: Weslahn
- Anthem: "Hail the Royal Family"
- Languages: Vadrian, Scortan, Radinian
- Description: In the eighth century, the three northern provinces of the Scortan Empire rebelled against the Caesar. After a civil war, where the Caesar was killed and his army beaten, the provinces broke away from Scorta and formed the Kingdom of Vadria. The Kingdom, which has persisted ever since, is ruled over by the Ven Briers family, who have a reputation for being weak-willed and easy to manipulate. A parliament has formed over the centuries, which has been able to pass reforms to keep with the times, which is why Vadria, despite currently losing much of its territory, is still an important global player.
- Political Model:
- State of Aktiat
- Capital: Carapitia
- Anthem: "The Empire lives"
- Languages: Scortan, Vadrian, Zuezik
- Description: Aktiat is a small state that has fought a war of secession against Vadria, and with some unofficial help from the Scortan Army, they won their independence in 1528. The Aktiat government claims to be the successor of the Tiat Empire, a Mega-State that had control over the whole region, from Vrantka to Tagrait, up until it collapsed in the sixth century. The population is mostly ethnically Scortan, however there is a small ethnic minority, the Zuezians, in southwestern Aktiat.
- Political Model:
- Acolonial State of East Jamyr
- Capital: Squisake, Frestreeth[1]
- Anthem: "I am a Jamyrian"
- Languages: Emporian, Ul-Jamyrut, Scortan, Kubesthian
- Description: The 13th century saw the discovery of the continent of Jamyr, and almost immediately, the attempted colonialization of it by the Previan Powers (////). However, thanks to the rich reserves of Tavinium[2] in Jamyr, and the magical tradition of the natives, the colonial wars were a disaster for the Previans. Only a few parts of Jamyr were colonized by Emporia and Scorta, and Radinia, Vriskr and Tagrait got nothing at all. Emporia soon took over Scortas colonies in the second half of the colonial wars. They held the territories for around 100 years, after which the colonies rebelled against the crown and declared independence. They governed themselves for 200 years after that, mostly as a democracy.
- Political Model:
- Parties:
- Peoples' Union of Tagrait-Skamreik
- Capital: Pvasa
- Anthem: "Revolutionary March"
- Languages: Tagraiti, Skamrian
- Description: Having gone through a highly complicated revolution a few decades ago, Tagrait-Skamreik is a Zavatist State, which means it follows the Ideology of the Political Theorist Kovim Zavat. Zavat is in favor of extremely Authoritarian Measures to protect workers, so Tagrait-Skamreik is an Imperialist, Foreign Meddling, Totalitarian Police State that claims to exist for the worker. While unpopular with foreigners, its public displays of power and Worker Welfare make it internally semi-stable.
- Political Model:
- Republic of Fyknaren
- Capital: Laastrenthelm
- Anthem: "People, come together"
- Languages: Fyknarian, Skamrian
- Description: Fyknaren, a state located to the north of Vriskr and to the West of Tagrait-Skamreik, was a kingdom, until a popular uprising brought down the Queen and the Aristocracy. After this, the country was governed as a partisan democracy, and its industry, mostly focused on lumber and steel production, began to steadily grow over time. The nation has a large diaspora of Skamreikians, who fled from the Tagraiti-Skamrian War, and its politicians often have to balance the interests of its extremely socialist neighbors and its own growing industrial class, which leads to the election season being incredibly tense.
- Political Model:
- Parties:
- Archmagedom of Larett
- Capital: Gathenion
- Anthem: "Rejoice, for Larett is standing strong"
- Languages: Larettian, Scortan, Kubesthian
- Description:
- Political Model:
- Kingdom of Vrantka
- Capital: Jucalam
- Anthem: "Whistle for Vrantka"
- Languages: Vrantkan, Emporian
- Description: Vrantka lays to the South of Emporia. It's a small Kingdom, but very influential, since it has rich reserves of Tavinium in its soil, and a long tradition of extremely skilled mages. The King mostly relies on the mages to keep him in power, treating them well and using them to oppress the civilian population. He has allied himself with the Emporians, occasionally lending troops to their war efforts, to avoid a brutal conquest of his land. Unfortunately for him and the powerful mages, the unfair treatment of the Vrantkan population has inspired Kovim Zavat to establish a Rebel group that seeks to free the people, not only from the tyrant, but also from the exceptionally brutal Vrantkan industry.
- Political Model:
- Monarchism
- Mage Rule
- Industrialism
- Reactionary Modernism
- Republic of Kramm
- Capital: Krammsentral
- Anthem: "Republican Light March"
- Languages: Kramish, Scortan
- Description: Kramm is a small group of islands in the Previan Ocean, on which a city-state has evolved into a booming merchant republic through diplomacy and sometimes conquest. It is a hub for big trading companies, and prides itself on its progressive policy. The democracy of Kramm is based on merchant families, most of which have held the positions of the city and cooperated at one point or another.
- Political Model:
- Kyurykship of Shoikai
- Capital: Narui
- Anthem: None
- Languages: Shoikaitch
- Description: Shoikai is a country in the far, far west, on the opposite side of Jamyr as seen from the Previan Ocean. It is situated on a small group of volcanic islands, its Industry is based mostly of fishing, fruit harvesting, and metalworking, and it is mostly inhabited by Deeplurkers and Skets, not humans. The Kyuryk is their leader, but he has not much real power, as the islands act more as a confederation with island chiefs (Paikatsi). They currently enjoy good relations with the Jeliakan tribes, the Acolonial States and Kramm.
- Political Model:
- Elective Monarchism
- Confederalism
- Agrarianism (mostly)
- Feudalism (in decline)
- Peasants' Republicanism (holdouts, mostly in Deeplurker Areas)
- Democracy (same as above)
- Bokiism
- Republic of the Seas of Lztrekch
- Capital: Kythur
- Anthem: "Remember, your home is the Abyss"
- Languages: Lztrekchian, Kubesthian, Scortan
- Description: Lztrekch is another small group of islands, however, unlike Kramm and Shoikai, the islands that make it up are small, barren and rocky. Most of the State is actually comprised of the water around the islands, as it is inhabited by Deeplurkers, an amphibian species who can live their lives underwater. The settlements on the islands are small and mostly made for visitors and diplomats, while the real cities, including the capital, Ykhmythup, were constructed under the water. The population of Lztrekch, of whom a lot are refugees from other countries, vote two Consuls (or Tchothei) into power every three years. Because of their democratic system, they get along well with many democratic states, and they are one of the supporters of Zeismarkian Separatism. Deeplurkers are also naturally very egalitarian, sharing what could almost be called a hivemind through Tavinium, which means that Lztrekch has an outstandingly leftist history. The current policies are actually seen as very right-wing by most Lztrkchians.
- Political Model:
- Thalassocracy
- Republicanism
- Semi-Direct Democracy
- Diarchy
- Universal Nationalism
- Species Nationalism
- Populareism
- Social Democracy
- Mage Rule[3]
Regional Governments
- Free Zeismark
- Situated in the far northwest of Radinia, and cut off from the other parts of the country by the Dragon Mountains in the east and the swampy coastline to the south, Zeismark has been home to a strong Separatist movement for years, and when the King was killed and the state collapsed, this movement has used the Chaos to declare Zeismark a free, sovereign nation. This predictably lead to a counterrevolutionary pushback, and now Zeismark is experiencing clashes between Thedo Krespers "Royal Army of Zeismark", a mercenary force backed by the , and the "Zeismarkian Separatist Union" under de Goeden.
- Starden Dune State
- The Starden Dunes are the hub of the West Radinian Republican army, and their Headquarters are located in the city of Leodinsheim, the capital city of the Dune State. The Geography of the Starden Dunes is comprised of swamps and beaches.
- Protectorate of the Marshlands
- The Marshlands are very sparsely settled, due to their hostile geography. The Radinian Monarchy has long used prisoners to work in the swamps of the Marshlands, and when the king died and the country fell apart, the stationed royal troops suddenly stopped getting supplies, and prisoners started starving. This lead to an uprising, and while most prisoners died, some were able to escape into the countryside. Most of them ended up in the Starden Dunes, where they joined the WRRA to hunt down their former tormentors in the Royal Army. The few ex-prisoners who remained in the Marshlands formed the Sinker Band.
- Free City Clavouria
- The Graveyard City. The ground on which Clavouria was build is rich in a magical element which revives the dead into intelligent Zombies. Therefore, this city has been transformed into a nearly One-Species City, populated mostly by Zombies. It is ran by a council of Wise Men, who are elected by all people of the city. It is the only part of Radinia that was almost completely unaffected by the Civil War, because before and after, the Wise Men and their rich families have always managed to keep the Monarchy at bay, and since the city is mostly comprised of Undead, they aren't dependent on food or medicine from abroad.
- Guildenery of the Dragon Mountains
- The Dragon Mountains are a very hostile place, however, they have been made the Corporate State of the Pyromaniac's Guild. This part of Radinia has been swept up by the Guild during the Decline and eventual Collapse of the Monarchy and turned into a Corporate State.
- Republican State of the Reischer Plains
- The Reischer Plains, historically a fertile and important region for Radinia, has been the primary warzone in the civil war. The WRRA declared it a Republican Federal State of theirs, and the Radinian Monarchy tried to fight them off, while multiple smaller bands and militias were caught in the crossfire. Due to bearing the brunt of the war, the Plains are now in a state of disarray.

- Free City Rados
- Rados once housed the King, and functioned as Radinia's capital both on paper and in terms of political power. The City often suffered from corruption and systemic violence in the city guard, and most citizens came to despise the Royal family. This was the perfect opportunity for a Radinian Socialist by the name of Leto Maßmann, who recently split from the RWPF over ideological issues. He started to build an underground socialist movement, and when Tartar The Devourer entered the city, intent on killing the king, they instigated a city-wide revolt against the guard. They then proceeded to wipe out the city guard in a brutal street fighting campaign, entered the palace, staged a few executions, and installed a city government.
- Rados Outskirts Autonomous Zone
- During the Battle of Rados, a split in the Revolutionaries made itself apparent: There was the main group, the Socialists under Maßmann, who wanted just to take the city as fast as possible, and an outgroup of hardliners, who felt so betrayed by the Royalty and their army that they wanted to kill or capture as many Royalists as they could. The two groups collaborated through the battle, but afterwards they quickly turned on each other. The Hardliners, now the Skullsplitter band, left the city before the conflict turned violent. They then took over some villages right outside of town, where they now try to build their own government.
- United Principalities of Valten-Halbmarsch
- Valten-Halbmarsch was governed by the Feudal Lady Krina von Grelschen and her Family before the Civil War. The von Grelschens took advantage of the dislike for the Monarchy to strengthen their own position, and even supported and supplied the WRRA for a while. In the war, the Royal Army quickly pushed into Valten-Halbmarsch to quash Anti-King sentiment there, won a few important victories and executed the ruling family for their treason. After that, the state was split into three zones, held respectively by the WRRA, the Royal Army and the South Radinian Legion, until the RRA collapsed and their territory was given over to the WRRA. The state is now divided by the Deranco Line, a giant trench system built by the SRL, while the Reginal Conspiracy is influencing events from the shadows.

- Fraktal-Pondlands Autonomous Zone
- This territory is currently in the hands of the notorious Fraktal Band, a criminal cult which has terrorised the Radinian countryside since the start of the civil war. After the battle of Prastenheim, where they were beaten by a coalition of the Bloodhand Band and the Anheem City Army, the band was forced to retreat to the pondlands, where they promptly massacred the locals and set up their terror regime. They are currently resisting attempts to conquer their land by the WRRA.

- Keiranship Kammen
- Kammen is notable because of two things: It houses the Irkibe of Espen, an important spiritual center of the Grimei Religion, and it was always extremely Monarchist. The last unit of the RRA to surrender was stationed here, and even after they were disbanded, the Reginal Conspiracy immediately spread into Kammen, partially to get the Church under their control, partially just because it was easy. Officially, when the king and the Lord of Kammen were killed by Tartar the Devourer, the claim to the State was transferred to the Keiran, the Grimei spiritual leader.
- Principality Nalzen
- The Princess of Nalzen, Jacka, was one of the many royals killed by Tartar the Devourer in his rampage. After that, the reign over the state was passed on to her young son, who was woefully inexperienced, so he passed on his power to his mothers' top advisor, Piethelm Goss. Goss and his good friend, former RRA Officer Griskine Polck, struck a deal with the Secundus Aelius' forces to strengthen their hold over the population, which has lead to the Reginal Conspiracists having an iron grip on Nalzen. The only real opposition is the states' Mage Community, who are powerful due to the states' rich Tavinium deposits, and don't like that power being taken away by the Conspiracists.

- Free Territory of Hohenreben
- Hohenreben is a very mountainous region. Its dominant industries are mining, smelting and metalworking, and it was always heavily controlled by the army, the aristocracy, and the mining companies. During the Radinian Revolution, the state split into the urban areas, which were mostly Royalist, and the countryside, where the empoverished mine workers joined Revolutionary groups en masse. Vriskr, who would stand to gain power from a socialist state on their southern border, sent massive aids to the miners, which eventually lead to the overthrow of the Hohenrebener Aristocracy. The countryside of Hohenreben is controlled by the United Mine Workers of Radinia and the Weapon Mechanics' Union of Radinia, two powerful Industrial Unions, while the cities are mostly governed by independent city councils.

- Free State Kauvatten
- Kauvatten has been under the rule of the Von Bruck family for most of Radinias existence. The family has always been a rival to the Von Hohenreben family, however they never went into open revolt. At least until their last daughter, Nadia von Bruck, befriended the Communist Soldier Kristene Bochte. Bochte influenced Nadia quite a bit, installing a hatred for the Von Hohenrebens and a communist worldview in the young royal. When Nadias parents died in Tartar the Devourers attack, the rule over Kauvatten transferred to her. She immediately gave half her territory to the RWPF. However, since she was still very young, many bands have seized the opportunity to exploit an unexperienced governess, constantly raiding and causing mayhem on the states' weakly defended peripheries.

- Free City Anheem
- Anheem was a very powerful city even before the Collapse. As a trade hub, Anheem was very rich and relatively free. In the Radinian civil war, the city was controlled by the stationed royal city guard for a while, until they got ordered off to other fronts. Anheem then stayed independent for the rest of the war, though it took heavy losses from raids by bands. The citizens were organized into a city army, and they dealt a decisive blow to the Fraktal Band in the Battle of Prastenheim, chasing the band out of Southeast Radinia. From then on, the city stayed independent.
- Protectorate of Buurland
- Buurland was always described as "the Stomach of Radinia", both because of its importance to the nation's food supply and because of its weak border, which Emporian regiments have often tried to invade. The last of those invasions was attempted during the Radinian civil war, and it was a huge success for the Emporian army. After the Emporian king eventually recalled his troops due to lacking state funds, they left a corrupt puppet government in charge, who were guaranteed to abide by every Emporian demand. Since then, retaking Buurland for Radinia has been a stated goal for basically all Unitarist groups.
- Protectorate of the Wasteland
- The Wasteland is a vast, Desert-like area of Radinia, situated in the far northwest. It is an enclave of Radinia that is mostly surrounded by Vadria, Glimburg and Vriskr instead of other Radinian states. The Wasteland has not been invaded due to being very undesirable and not worth starting a war over. The charred and ashy wastes are the result of a war in the twelfth century, where the King of Vriskr deployed an army of Pyromagicians to beat the Royal Radinian Army, not aware that the land they were fighting on had a strong magical aura. This resulted in an unbelievably massive explosion and a magical fallout that rendered the land infertile forever. Since then, the Wastes are only populated by a few small communities of Undead and Demons, and have been in the control of Radinia. It's currently unaccounted for by anyone in Radinia or out.
- Southern Wastes Autonomous Zone
- The Third of the Autonomous Zones, this one is occupied by the Bloodhand Band. They siezed a small part of the Borderlands of Ekterland and the Wasteland, where they can still grow food, but aren't occupying such a profitable strip of land that it becomes a big target. From here, they often go on raids in Ekterland and Kauvatten.
- Lordship Ekterland
- Ekterland is situated in the east of Radinia, on the border to Scorta. It has always been greatly afflicted by conflicts between the two countries, and during the Chaos of the Radinian civil war, it has been raided multiple times by most of the big, dangerous criminal bands, due to its abundance of resources. The Knight Order of Ekterland, that had been disbanded for decades, was brought back to protect the State, and is currently experiencing clashes with the Bloodhand Band and the Great Grey Horde.
- Free State Geitterland
- Located on the Radinian eastern border, Geitterland has always been connected to the neighbor country of Scorta. The State Capital, Seeren (formerly named Searis), actually lies closer to the National Capital of Scorta (named Areia) than it does to Rados. So, when the King died, Scortan troops soon marched into Geitterland, with the official mission to ensure that the border would not be breached, but were quite obviously there to secure Scorta's interests in the region. After some skirmishes, the Radinian Royal Army had to give up their positions in Geitterland. The Scortan troops then occupied Geitterland for a while, during which time they installed a very favourable leadership, and eventually left Radinian grounds to fight a war at the northern border of their own country.
- Territory of Hoeltrum-Breike
- Much like Zeismark, Hoeltrum-Breike is a Territory with a native ethnic minority population. The Breikian people were conquered by Dorian I. in the 1400s, incorporating it into the Radinian Kingdom. From then on, it has served as a strategic point in the rivalry between Radinia and Emporia, housing many Naval Bases, in which lots of Breikians served as sailors. When the news of the Revolution reached Hoeltrum-Breike, due to Admirals being ordered to send their ships to Zeismark to lay siege to the Peninsula. The Breikian sailors rebelled, taking control of the harbors, and quickly, the Breikian Liberty Party was formed. This party organized the Breikian Rebellion, which was a swift success due to the remaining Radinian Navy being unable to push through the Hoeltrum strait. Parallel to this, they reorganized the Breikian government, throwing out the Aristocracy and bringing in an elected parliament of Revolutionary leaders.

Factions
- Bloodhand Band
- Formed in 1560, the Bloodhand Band is a dangerous scourge of the hills of Eastern Radinia, ruthlessly and indiscriminately attacking everyone they want to, plundering, murdering, raiding, and engaging in other cruel behaviour. They are the boogeyman of many a faction, being described as the pinnacle of degeneracy and immorality.
- Fraktal Band
- The most brutal and feared of all the criminal bands in Radinia, this band got their start during the beginning of the Civil War and have terrorized almost all parts of Radinia at some point or another. At the hugely decisive battle of Prastenheim, where they went up against a coalition of Radinian Communists, other bandits and local city militias, the band was defeated, which caused them to retreat into the Pondlands, where they were also documented to commit countless atrocities against the native population. Structurally, they take the form of a highly centralized Cult of Personality, where their leader, "Master Derivan", can command every single bandit to do anything he wants.

- Skullsplitter Band
- Starting out as a hardline faction in the Rados Commune, the Skullsplitter Band have devolved into just another criminal group. They operate out of the Rados Outskirts Autonomous Zone, where they have taken over and forced many people out of their homes, and often go on raids into WRRA Territory. While they claim to be Anarchists, they also have a dedicated council of leaders who guide their actions, which is claimed to only be transitional.

- Sandstorm Cartel
- Drugs, Prostitution and Weapons are the business of this group. They are massively influential, having cells in most Radinian cities, where they dominate the Urban crime scene. Smaller urban gangs are routinely wiped out in the most brutal ways by them, which shows how good their equipment is. They are organized in a highly hierarchical structure, with a Sand Demon naming herself Donovia Heckler as their leader.

- Great Grey Horde
- This gang is seen as a relic of the past. It is made up exclusively of Orcs, who believe that raiding, pillaging and raping is in the nature of their species. Their type of raiding, being done mostly with Sabers, are a reminder of the time at which the South of Radinia was regularly overran by Nomadic Horsemen from the South, and their view of their own species has made them absolutely despised with other Orcs.

Their type of raiding, being done mostly with Sabers, are a reminder of the time at which the South of Radinia was regularly overran by Nomadic Horsemen from the South, and their view of their own species has made them absolutely despised with other Orcs.

Religions
- Tzykhtzyrs
- Tzykhtzyrs is a religion practiced mostly by what are commonly called "Deeplurkers", an amphibian race that lives primarily in the waters and on the islands of the Previan Sea. The Deeplurkers swear they regularly see proof of their gods in the Deep Sea, but this is obviously very hard to verify. Practicioners believe in a group of extradimensional gods, knows as "The Kchuk", who, according to the religions' lore, have created the world entirely unconsciously, and are entirely apathetic to all life. Priests ("Luwyzhk") must practice bizarre and highly complicated rituals involving magic and sacrificing small animals, which are believed to form a small protective magical aura around the home dimension so that it does not get destroyed by the Kchuk. The Ctzeyt Monument, a giant structure built in the waters before the Radinian coast, serves as the central hub of Tzykhtzyrs. Most practicioners journey to the Monument at least once in their lives, and the many communal priests travel there to collectively decide on Church policies.

- Cult of Lthyr
- The Cult of Lthyr is an offshoot of Tzykhtzyrs, which split from the Church over matters of Centralisation as well as Theological disagreements in 1526. The Cult believes that the true doctrine of Tzykhtzyrs, and the truth about the Kchuk, was misinterpreted, and that the Church has lost most of its legitimacy over the years. The Cult Leader believes that the Kchuk know about the universe they created, and that their will is to be directly interpreted by a centralized Church Authority. The current Leader of the Cult, Ykuzh Ptugh, interprets the Kchuks will in the following way: The cult needs to focus all its efforts on creating the maximal possible amount of Chaos, to weaken the force of intrinsic unity and order that keeps the Kchuk at bay, which is why any kind of orderly behaviour is punished (in a random way) by the Cult. However, Ptugh also instructs her followers to give as much of their earthly posessions as they can afford to her, which she claims she can uniquely use in a way so completely random and chaotic that no one else can even comprehend or learn it. Additionally, the Cult is extremely militaristic, since Ptugh believes violence and war is a way to effectively spread chaos.

- ↑ Both cities share the title of capital. While the Highest Minister and the parliament are based in Frestreeth, Squisake is the "cultural capital", biggest and most populous city, as well as the seat of the Jamyrian supreme court.
- ↑ Tavinium: A semi-rare metal that makes up the magic system of this world. Basically, all Tavinium is connected, and a magician with Tavinium in his brain can manipulate all Tavinium in his surroundings, from making it explode or catch fire to clumping it into a rock and throwing that.
- ↑ Because every single resident of the country is magical. The mages aren’t actually a protected class, it is just a normal profession.
- ↑ Not exactly, but the WRRA does place great importance on international policing and trade.
- ↑ Aside from his brutal campaign in the Plains and his unorthodox beliefs, Trachter is notorious for getting intimate with as many of his soldiers as possible, either to improve morale or to satisfy himself.
- ↑ He is the son of an Aristocratic family, but doesn't believe the Aristocracy should have extraordinary power.
- ↑ "I do not desire to be seen as a generous boss. I give my workers welfare, because a healthy worker works better. I support the Ashen Academy, because an educated worker works better. If a worker would work better if I lashed him several times, I would do so."
- ↑ While Steiner himself is not a Noble, they do comprise most of his personal friends and direct subordinates.
