The establishment of the 1st New International Division occurred in 2035 as part of the initial cohort of ZZ groups designated for semi-permanent deployment in Asia. The overarching objective of this division was twofold: to extend Polish influence in Asia and to generate financial gains for the Polish Social Nationalist Republic (PSNR) through wartime activities. A clandestine pact among the Northwestern Imperium, the PSNR, and the Empire of China led to the subsequent deployment of the division to Xinjiang, tasked with quelling an Uighur insurgency. The division fulfilled its duties faithfully until 2038 when the Treaty of Chicago, resolving conflicts between the PSNR and Greater Illinois, rendered the aforementioned pact obsolete and inactive.

Consequently, the PSNR recalled the 1st New International Division, along with the ZZ Xinjiang Division and the 8th ZZ Division "Centrazja," back to their homeland. However, these divisions, influenced by their allegiance to General Gao and seduced by the comfortable lifestyle afforded by their positions within the Imperial Chinese army, defied orders and opted to remain in Xinjiang. They subsequently coalesced to form the autonomous entity known as the Triforce "Trójsiła" Autonomous Group.

To avoid censure or accusations of treason from the PSNR government, the Autonomous Group negotiated an agreement wherein they would remit a portion of their profits to the PSNR in exchange for tacit approval to continue operations against the Uighurs in the region. Reluctantly, the PSNR acquiesced to this arrangement due to being distracted by the Eastern Crisis.
