White Nationalism is an ideology that advocates for the rights of white people, especially to resist demographic replacement (through miscegenation and immigration), and maintain a distinct identity. While some white nationalist groups may exhibit chauvinist tendencies, most white nationalist groups do not necessarily believe white people are superior to other races.
White Nationalism varies in how extreme it is. Many white nationalists seek white empowerment but do not wish to form a society exclusively for white people. On the more extreme side, White Separatism wants white people to form their own nation or reclaim Europe as theirs, and separate themselves from non-white races. On an even more extreme end, White Supremacism believes not only that white people should form a white-only society, but that they are inherently superior to other races, genetically or otherwise, and thus should dominate society.
