Hello and welcome to my personal page. Here, I will occasionally post thoughts and musings about my political ideologies and philosophies. The colours on the flag in my avatar represent different parts of my personal ideology: egoism (teal), existentialism (pale blue), autarchism (steel blue) and anarchism (black). I consider myself, first and foremost, an autarchist, File:Ego.png Stirnerite egoist and existentialist anarchist, though my ideology and philosophy draws influences from several other places too.

Economic Views

Civic Views

Civically, I consider myself an anarchist, specifically an individualist anarchist. I am in favour of abolishing the state and I am in opposition to all forms of statism and governance, as well as any form of social coercion and involuntary hierarchy. I view the state as a fundamentally illegitimate institution based around coercion and oppression of the individual. Being in a position of authority does not automatically make a person better, more moral or more fit to rule, hence any leader will inevitably have all of the inherent flaws of the human condition. The state and the laws it makes are spooks, based around a subjective idea of "morality": the state at its heart is an egoistic institution that simply exists to serve its own interest and crush individual freedom. I do not consider myself an anarchist in the traditional left-wing sense, as I do not follow some grand narrative of "freedom" or "equality" nor do I agree with the many collectivist principles of the left, rather, I see anarchy as the logical conclusion of existentialist and radical individualist philosophy when applied to politics. In a world without any objective meaning, the state cannot claim to hold any legitimacy over the will of the individual.

Furthermore, I am an autarchist: I support complete self-governance and self-reliance, or "rule of the self", over any sort of political system or form of governance. As well as being opposed to the state and authoritarianism, I am also completely against any form of external governance, including democracy. While a "true" direct democracy as posited by social anarchists in their ideal vision of society would still be preferable to the corrupt reality of liberalism, democracy at its heart is a flawed institution: it allows the will of the majority to triumph over the will of the individual, thus, not truly upholding the principles of self-reliance and complete individual liberty. My vision for an alternative would be centered around completely voluntary forms of association, based around Max Stirner's principle of the File:Ego.png "union of egoists": a voluntary and non-systematic association between free individuals functioning upon mutual self-interest.

Social Views

Socially, I consider myself neither progressive nor conservative, rather, as someone who is socially neutral. Despite this, my socially neutral beliefs do not stem from having moderate opinions, but rather from being heavily critical of both progressive and conservative social movements due to their shared commonalities of being moral authoritarians who use social coercion as a means of abiding by their preconceived ideas on what "objective" morality is. Being an existentialist, I do not believe in such a concept of absolute or objective morality. I believe it is up to the individual to live the life they personally see as virtuous or meaningful as opposed to abiding by any arbitrary immaterial concepts. For the conservative, this would be "religion", "law and order" or "family values", while for the progressive, it would be "diversity", "inclusiveness", "human rights". It is purely up to the individual to define what holds meaning in one's own life and what does not.

Despite being socially neutral, I am, however, strongly in favour of postgenderism.

Major influences

  • Anarchism - One of my greatest political influences and one of the beliefs I still strongly hold. The state is inherently oppressive, it is an illegitimate institution that furthers its own existence at the expense of the liberty of every individual that lives under it, through government, police, taxation and any other forms of law enforcement, governance and regulation of individual freedom.
