The Malorussian Liberation Army is a unit comprised of Ukrainian defectors who work in cooperation with the Russian Armed Forces to fight against the Ukrainian government as part of the Russo-Ukrainian war, or as some call it, the Special Military Operation. The group claims to have 5149 soldiers and has participated in fighting in Kherson and Zaporozhye.
They assert that the Russian collaborators working with the Ukrainian armed forces are attempting to act as some sort of "neo-White Guards." Furthermore, they claim that the identity of Ukraine is "an extremely poor cultural phenomenon" needing constant fabrication of history, and that the region is actually Malorussia, a subculture of Russian.
According to them, "Year after year, the Ukrainian state destroys the fundamental traditions of the Malorussian society. Love for the memory of the exploits of one's own family has become criminal. Faith and culture were on the verge of a ban. Comprehension of the mistakes of one's own history is turned into a farce turned inside out."
The group also supported the Russian Ministry of Defense and Vladimir Putin during the Wagner mutiny but did not intervene, stating "We continue to carry out combat duty. We do not withdraw from positions. They are aware of the situation in Rostov and Voronezh and are very upset. It is possible to draw historical parallels with 2014, 1991, or 1917, but we will not do this."
Furthermore, the group has expressed that neither a free Ukraine nor a Ukraine within Russia can exist, emphasizing that "Whether there will be a certain 'Malorussian Federal District' or just a collection of regions is not important. The important thing is that the ideas of Ukrainianism are destructive and will never lead to anything good."
The organization does not have an official anthem, but they have suggested lyrics that would go like this:
"We are walking, a two-color flag is above us,
The song flows through the native fields.
Our tune is picked up by the winds
And carried to the Kyiv churches!"
The group has also described their motives as follows: "We got fed up with the fact that the Ukrainian land was sold to the world-eating oligarchs for next to nothing. We don’t like the fact that clown politicians with villas in Italy have left Ukrainian men with only one way - to die in the name of American interests, and Ukrainian women - only one profession: to sell themselves on the outskirts of European integration. We are against the persecution of the canonical Orthodox Church; we are against the desecration of the Kyiv Orthodox shrines in order to please the Roman devil."

Aside from its military operations, the group is also known for creating pro-Malorussian propaganda and dismantling pro-Ukraine rhetoric. The group is highly associated with the song "Lovely, brothers, lovely" and regularly posts videos, images, and memes on its telegram channel in support of the Malorussian Liberation Army and the Malorussian idea.
