Neomedievalism is a return to medieval-style geopolitics, which we are going to see within our lifetimes as our current world system and modern nation-states both begin to fall apart. It doesn't necessarily imply a return to feudalism as a civic, social, and economic system, although neofeudalism can arise within neomedievalism
