The Arizonan Communist Republic is a communist centralist state located in the heart of the western frontier, encompassing roughly the territories of Arizona, New Mexico, Sonora, Chihuahua, and the parts of Texas to the west of the Pecos river. It was founded in 2044 and is headed by John Sundog- formerly, the Dean of Mathematics at Arizona State University, born in rural Tuscon, hardened by the mud, and strengthened by poverty.
The country legislates via a mix of an E-Democratic system where citizens directly vote on laws, with more weight given to those voters who have previously voted for successful policies in the past and a meritocratic council of the most hardworking and intelligent citizens who can additionally make laws changing the political system itself (to a degree).
