He sits as the head of government and the head of state, and under him is the bicameral legislation, comprised of the upper Senate and the lower Chamber of Corporations. National Anthem
Facing sunwards, proudly in my new shirt
Deep black, that yesterday was bare,
With the banner of our cause embracing,
I'll be cast in death's stare.
On that day, I'll join my noble brethren,
Who now stand on vigil in the heavens!
With a countenance as hard, as hard
'Gainst us no force avails!
If I should fall to rise no more, no more
I know that our cause prevailed!
Then triumphant banners will be waving
For peace will once again abide!
On my grave five blood-red roses placing
A fasces at my side!
Spring will laugh when every struggle's ended
For the future we few have proud defended!
Forwards, until the task is done!
For a new Maine is facing towards the sun!
