Mussolinism is the philosophical part of Fascism. It is totalitarian, anti-liberal democracy, palingenetic ultranationalist, and alternate modernist.
Philosophical Beliefs
Myth of the Nation
Benito Mussolini Thought makes use of a Sorelian "Myth", with BMT claiming it is a true one. This Myth is that of the Nation. The view of a nation is of a single organic entity that binds people together by their patriotism and is a natural unifying force of people. Benito Mussolini Thought seeks to solve economic, political and social problems by achieving a millenarian national rebirth, exalting the nation above all else and promoting cults of unity, strength and purity.
Direct Action
Benito Mussolini Thought emphasizes direct action, including supporting the legitimacy of political violence, as a core part of its politics. BMT views violent action as a necessity in politics that it identifies as being an "endless struggle".
Gender Roles
Benito Mussolini Thought perceives women's primary role as child bearers, while that of men as warriors. Benito Mussolini Thought calls for women to be honoured as "reproducers of the nation". In 1934, Benito Mussolini declared that employment of women was a "major aspect of the thorny problem of unemployment" and that for women, working was "incompatible with childbearing"; Mussolini went on to say that the solution to unemployment for men was the "exodus of women from the work force."
Political Beliefs
Chauvinism
Benito Mussolini Thought believes that Italy's history, culture, and language inherently makes Italy the best nation on Earth. It can be described as a form of extreme patriotism and nationalism, a fervent faith in Italy's national excellence and glory.
Totalitarianism
Fascism promotes the establishment of a totalitarian state. It opposes liberal democracy, rejects multi-party systems, and may support a one-party state so that it may synthesize with the nation. This is best exemplified by the motto "Everything for the State, everything within the State, and nothing against the State."
Corporatism
Benito Mussolini Thought believes in Corporatism. A corporation, in this sense, is a government body that brings together federations of workers and employers syndicates belonging to the same profession and branch, to regulate production in a holistic manner. Each trade union would theoretically represent its professional concerns, especially by negotiation of labour contracts and the like. It was theorized that this method could result in harmony among social classes.
Personality
Imposes its will through force. Sidelines women. Emphasizes strength. Promotes often clashing economic philosophies to cooperate.
