Dr. Mikolaj Kaminski is the current director of the Central Intelligence Agency of Greater Illinois. He's held this position since 2032 A.D, when he was selected from the top brass of the CIA to become the next director. Before that, Dr. Kaminski was an officer of the Annihilator Brigades, which added actual combat experience to his resume.
Dr. Kaminski was born in Warsaw, Poland, pre-collapse in 1991. Due to situations caused indirectly by the collapse of the USSR, Dr. Kaminski's family lived in poverty for the formative years of his life before they scraped up enough money to move to America and to begin the citizenship process. This childhood, combined with Dr. Kaminski's aptitude for history and influence by Western-oriented thinkers, sparked the first traces of Dr. Kaminski's rabid Russophobia.
Upon moving to the American state of Michigan in 2007, Dr. Kaminski completed high school with all honors and eventually went to college at the University of Michigan, where he put himself through college by signing a contract with the military after completing his studies. He eventually gained a Doctorate in Communications in 2017, becoming a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He served for a few years until the American collapse happened, where Dr. Kaminski found himself in a very tense position. He also became an official citizen of the United States of America during this time.
Dr. Kaminski had done nothing but serve America during his time here so far and had a perfect criminal record. However, per the new Greater Illinoisian policy, he was put up for review to determine whether he'd go back to Poland, now the PSNR. It is unsure what happened there, but he was deemed important enough to keep, a remarkable achievement for any non-American within Illinoisian borders. He later resumed his work in the military as a Lieutenant Colonel
(later a Colonel) of the Annihilator Brigades, operating in Russia from 2027-2030, then joining the CIA after being honorably discharged after an injury in the field. This experience finally made him snap, and he became the extreme Russophobe we all know today.
Eventually, in 2032, Dr. Kaminski was elected to become the new director of the CIA. Initially, he wanted to implement plenty of anti-Russian policies during his time as a CIA regular. However, now that he was the director with the full blessings of the new president, President Bernard Henderson, he put these policies into reality. These policies included raiding villages, assassinating anti-American mouthpieces, murdering remnant Chechen and Belarussian terrorists, and other things. It is unknown exactly how many Russians died due to Kaminski's policies, but it is expected that around ~250,000 of them perished, with around ~10,000 Belarussians and ~20,000 Chechens dying.
However, Kaminski's crowning achievement was the bombing of Moscow in 2033. On his recommendation, the Illinoisian air force dropped a salvo of three dirty Cobalt bombs on the ruins of Moscow, killing thousands immediately and causing crippling defects in many more. This move is expected to kill anywhere from 100,000 to 150,000 Russians, with even more dying after the fact from complications. This incident sparked international outrage and marked the lowest relations between the West and East. As a result, President Henderson forbade Dr. Kaminski from using military assets unless approved by either him, his cabinet, or military officials. Nevertheless, the damage was done, and Dr. Kaminski was forever branded as one of the Butchers of Moscow.
Since then, essentially every clandestine operation; assassination, sabotage, election rigging, etc., has all been planned by him, cementing a public image as a sort of boogeyman. For his own safety, he currently lives in a massive bunker complex somewhere in Greater Illinois, as even with peace between the PSNR and NWP made, around half of the world still wants his head on a platter. Even Illinoisian allies in the GTO are unsure of Dr. Kaminski, with Vissarion Owfithus of Byzantium comparing him to a more sane and practical version of the infamous Akakios Stamoglou.
This isn't to say that Dr. Kaminski hasn't been busy. He has since agreed to see past the Russophilia of the PSNR for practicality's sake and does not seek to glass Kaliningrad. Still, he has not taken the revitalization of the New USSR well, especially as they attempt to worm their way into North America. However, he does not extend his Russophobic tendencies to Siberia, as he deems the territory to have an acceptable amount of historically-oppressed ethnic minorities like Udmurts, Yakuts and Buryats. In a way, Dr. Kaminski sort of supports a "land back" movement for Russian ethnic minorities. Despite this, Dr. Kaminski, as of now, has one desire and one desire only; to make Russia bleed.
