Finn Grünerbaum is a North German diplomat and the current ambassador to Niger. Grünerbaum has always been known for his love for all things Africa, particularly West Africa; this lead him to live in Togo, Senegal, Niger, and Nigeria for a total of 30 years throughout his life, conducting mostly research through interacting with the locals. Niger, according to him, left the biggest impression him, which is why he was especially thrilled to be picked as the North German ambassador to Niger.
He holds a very close personal relationship to the government of Niger, having multiple friends in the General Mining Party of Niger and Aïr.
