PCBaller World/Sweden/Nordic Workers' Party

The Nordic Workers' Party was the ruling party of the Swedish National State and perpetrator behind the Swedish genocide.

History

Creation

The party was created by a small group of disgruntled workers in Västerbotten, Sweden-Norway. Massive industrialisation in Northern Sweden had created many jobs, but had also taken its toll on the welfare state. Since everyone worked in the factories, almost noone was operating the hospitals, schools etc. which created uncertainty among the workers. When the government, a coalition between Royal Action Party, Social Democratic Labour Party and The United Left, announced further cuts to the welfare state, the organization was formed.

Innitially it was a left-wing party which wanted better conditions for the workers, a strengthening of the welfare state and greater equality between the different regions of the nation. It gained a small following of industrial workers at first, but their real growth came when they started to open up to other anti-government activists.

Rise

To become stronger, they tried to diversify their political base and became a "party for populists", a more Sweden-focused National Democratic Party and without the radical conservative elements. This worked and soon other people started to join and form different factions. The major factions were the Workers (stood for the original ideas of the party), the Statists (wanted to stop the growing crime rate in Sweden, mostly immigrant gangs) and File:Ethnojack.png the Ethno-Jacobins (revolutionary nationalist faction which believed that immigration and religion were major problems in Sweden).

The Workers was still the biggest faction in the group until the "Falun murders", an incident where a man of Syrian origins murdered a family of four. This boosted the Ethno-Jacobin faction and it eventually became the dominant one. Filip Persson, leader of the Ethno-Jacobins, was voted to become the chairman of the party.

Swedish Revolution

As the Norwegian revolution was beginning to gain momentum, a more revolutionary spirit started to grow among party members. The revolution had also weakened the welfare state even more, something that Persson blamed on welfare-stealing immigrants. The party had grown so much that by 2027 they were de facto controlling big parts of northern Sweden. When the Norwegian Revolutionary Front had taken control of the southern parts of Sweden-Norway, life became difficult in northern Sweden as the Swedish Royal Army cracked down on everything that it saw as "revolutionary activity".

On the 14th of December 2028 a member of the Nordic Workers' Party was shot fatally by the military for "inciting violence". This led to outrage among the group's members and would be the start of the Swedish revolution. Many civilians, who were dissatisfied with the military's treatment of the population of Sweden, and the more nationalistic members of the military would join the side of the party against the Swedish government. The 18th of February 2029 the Nordic Workers' Party had won over the already crippled Swedish government and established the Swedish National State.

Rule

As soon as Persson came to power he decided to purge the other factions of the party, leaving only the Ethno-Jacobins as the sole legal faction. The few years that followed were nothing like what the party's old members had imagined. The state decided to centralise all of its power in the hands of Persson who became the absolute ruler of Sweden. Political dissent was crushed and totalitarian methods were used to perpetuate his rule.

The most notable action committed by the state by this time was to genocide all ethnic minorities and heavily suppress religious individuals. This would come to be known as the Swedish genocide. Many minorities fled to the Islamic Emirate of Finland and only stengthened the islamic government there.

Downfall

Due to the brutality of the Swedish National State and the growing problem of corruption in the government, it would not be long until the government would fall. Officer Altem, a high ranking member of the nation's military who had hid his deep religious beliefs, would eventually lead a coup d'etat against Persson with the help of those loyal to him in the military. He also used the help of the Order of the Lord, a secret society with members of the Christian faith which had worked to infiltrate many government institutions. On the 3rd of January 2031 Altem declared that the Swedish National State had fallen and established the Sacred Kingdom of Sweden.

Factions

Workers

The faction which represent what the founders of the party originally believed in. Workers' rights is the foundation which the faction stands on. They want to strengthen the welfare state which had received several cuts during the 2020s and promote equality between different regions of the nation. Just like all other factions of the party, they are heavily populist with a belief that the elite are actively hurting the working man and that there are certain "parasites" which degrade the welfare state. The state is generally something that they have a positivie view of, believing that it can be used to help the workers and prevent crime.

Statists

Another major faction is the statists. This faction is mainly made up of people who believe that the state is in major need of becoming stronger. Crime was a big problem during the 2020s in Sweden and this is reflected in their attitude towards the police force which they want to grant the ability to effectively fight crime. They have been accused of being very authoritarian, a lable that they don't refute.

File:Ethnojack.png Ethno-Jacobins

The last major faction and arguably the most radical of the bunch. Just like their name apply, they base their organisation around the ideals, values, organisational model and aesthetics of the French revolution and the Jacobin club. Although, instead of accusing the elite of being greedy, they instead say that they stand in the way of the ethnic Swede's interests. Just like the Jacobins, they believe that the elites need to be overthrown through a revolution and that a major restructioning of society is needed, although this ultra-progressive element wasn't properly implemented when they came into power.
