Spiritual Classism is the idea found in some anti-socialist and anti-capitalist ideologies, particularly Fascist ones, that 'bourgeoisie' and 'proletarian' are not statuses of material wealth and economic control but rather states of mind. Instead, these terms are used to relate to behaviours associated with those classes such as the Proletarians being productive and athletic, in opposition to the sedentary and materialist Bourgeoisie. As opposed to a class war, Spiritual Classism justifies class collaborationism, and usually upholds the nation as an identity far more important than class.
