A functioning society based on what? greed, imperialist exploitation, hedonist mass consumerist degeneracy, wealth centralization, monopolization of enterprise, suppression of worker rights, corruption of the market, lobbying and nepotism, the soulless prioritization of profits above all, and the idea of cucking towards elitist motherfuckers who give no damn about the people below them, only caring about themselves, and not even contributing to society and only doing so if it benefits themselves whilst they still have the position to oppress those below them? face it, the only forms of capitalism aren't remotely fucked up are georgism, most forms of welfare capitalism, state capitalism, and ordoliberalism, but even the latter three have at least some of the negative aspects mentioned above -

Capitalism as a system is good, but how its implemented can determine if its good or not. A society based on a welfare state, high enough taxes, fair trade, economic regulation, ect, can be really good and has shown to produce the most happy populations on earth, while free-market capitalism has allowed for the exploitation of third world countries and massive wealth inequalities
