Egoism and Nihilism
Egoism was not influenced by Nihilism as Nihilism is a philosophy constructed by Nietzsche in the late 19th century After Stirner's death. In no way could Nihilism have influenced Stirner or the creation of Egoism. If anything it could be argued that Nihilism was influenced by Egoism, although even this is contested and remains unclear. It's certain that Nietzsche read Stirner's works, but what's uncertain is what extent Nietzsche took ideas from Egoism, if any. ~~Popedesu~~
Pretty cringe
- Throwing out all morals just be selfish is pretty bad, even for me.
- Throwing out my self-interests and life just to follow an alien essence which I nor anyone can ever grasp as it is alien and lies outside of individuals, is pretty bad, even for me.
Cringe
- When you are so far into philosophy that you lose contact with the real world and forget what your ideology would actually do to society.
- I'm no egoist, but I'm sure it's no system to be lived under. It's descriptive, not prescriptive, if I recall correctly.
This ideology is why ecology is in such a bad state
Stirner indirectly lead to climate change by promoting self-interest over a selfless cause such as ecology.
