Talk:Progressive Conservatism

Based

Basically me. Sure I have leanings depending on region (conservative in the first world, progressive in the third world) but overall this is me. Upholding the values of family, community, history, and tradition, while advancing as a society, is a must. -

STFU

I hate this fucking ideology

- Cope.

The only sensible cultural ideology

cultural extremism on all sides is cancerous and should be opposed -

  • Agreed, cultural extremism is degenerate! -

It's fucking over

from cuckservative reactionaries forcing me to wear progressive labels to revprog woketards making me put hats of conservatism, it's only getting clearer to me that this is the only sensible cultural ideology, in the end, either side of the cultural spectrum is infested with degeneracy, especially in the extremes, and it only convinces me further as too many cultural ideologies have a 1-dimensional and linear understanding of cultural politics. -

Dumb

- Better than normal conservatism, and it is tolerable depending on were it leans. But ultimately, the nonsensical conservative part of this kills it for me, as cultural conservatism is a plague that needs to be fought.

- Cultural Conservatism isn't always bad though.

Regulated capitalism won’t end conservatism as capitalism itself is a form of Tory as capitalism is the old system. Marxism is needed

- Capitalism destroys traditions when it's profitable

Capitalism, cannot destroy tradition as it is a tradition, the progression of feudalism and it often keeps traditions. As I said it exploits in many ways economically and societally. Marxism is the way-Anglo Germanic socalist

- Oh really? What about the Traditions of Indigenous people that are threatened by Capitalist exploitation?

But that is a case of capitalism exploiting minorities which it always has done I am talking about how capitalism reinforces tradition

- Bullshit. Capitalist consumerism is actually eroding traditions and replacing them with materialistic nihilism (a.k.a pink capitalism).

- As for traditions, I agree with Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s removing the bad parts and keeping the good parts of traditions.

- The traditions of minorities are also traditional values bro. Like in Australia, Asian Australians don’t support the woke ideologies of baizuos at all.

Ok there is a lot to unpack here. First of all pink capitalism is capitalism trying to adopt progressivism. Second of all just because companies use progressive marketing (which is ironic as they harm lgbt people as well) does not change that capitalism the system is created of tradition and reinforced these ideas women must wear dresses or pink or whatever

- Capitalism and socialism aren’t inherently progressive or conservative culturally. But materialistic consumerism does indeed erodes traditions.

Well I guess I can agree to disagree then no point arguing when it’s clear we don’t see eye to eye

This is the only way

- Progressive conservatism is the best cultural outlook. We must progress our society while evaluating and maintaining those cultural traditions that are beneficial while rejecting those that are harmful.

What the Social Axis should be

  • Many people don’t understand that politics aren’t just a one dimensional line. It is a science to be adopted based on the conditions of other countries. I believe that even for highly conservative third world countries like Afghanistan, some areas like the traiditional cultures need to be conserved. Unregulated progressivism cannot work, no matter how morally right it might be, like how Daoud Khan’s reforms have good intentions, but it wasn’t a gradual process, causing unpopularity among the Afghan people. Progressive conservatism is the only way, like how Dr. Sun did to China.- Nekoqing
