Rockefeller Republicanism or Moderate Republicanism is an ideology stemming from a subrgroup of the US Republican Party in the 1930's-1970's that held more moderate and liberal views on domestic issues than the rest of the party, similar to those of Nelson Rockefeller, former Governor of New York (1959-1973) and Vice President (1974-1977).

Other notable RockReps include, but not limited to: Thomas Dewey, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John Anderson, Bill Weld, Phil Scott, Edward Brooke and even Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Frenemies

  • Neoliberalism - You're a bit more economically liberal than me but we're socially similar.
  • Keynesianism - Please stop making the money printer go brrr, it's not a toy.
  • Social Liberalism - Just because I'm a liberal doesn't mean that I'm a democrat.
  • Conservatism - Economically wise, but a bit of progressivism won't hurt anybody.
  • Progressive Conservatism - I'm not sure how should I feel about you.
