A liberal socialist society could be said to be one in which all members of society are granted a set of inalienable positive and negative rights combined with an economic system based workplace democracy.

Wikipedia states that Liberal Socialism's "ideas can be traced to John Stuart Mill, who theorised that capitalist societies should experience a gradual process of socialisation through worker-controlled enterprises, coexisting with private enterprises."
Tenets
Liberal Socialist ideology tends to support a mixed economy that consists of both private property and social ownership.
