Makhnocore is an aesthetic created by Goober. It focuses on Nestor Machno and his achievements, but mainly the last months of the Makhnovshchina and Makhno's life in Paris.

Overview

Makhnocore could be considered a form of situationism, since it attempts to spread the ideas of Platformism and Anarchism in general via art.
Makhnocore is for the most part gloomy or melancholic, especially if based on the fall of the Free Territory and Makhno's death in Paris due to tuberculosis.
However, then can be more "alive" examples of Makhnocore that focus on the victories against the Whites and the Reds, or the Cossack elements of the Black Army.

Common Elements

  • Cigarettes
  • Campfires
  • Snow
  • Guns (Mainly rifles and Maxim Guns)
  • Horses
  • Worn down clothes
  • Scars
  • Paris
  • Thigh Highs

Examples

Goober's page art is a prime example of Makhnocore.

There are also songs which weren't made for this style, but fit in perfectly. These songs are mostly in Ukrainian, Russian, or a mix of the two, but there are a few notable French pieces.
The songs can vary from cheerful to melancholic depending on the specific time period. Almost all of them are based on folk tunes and songs.
