Nathuram Godse Thought is the ideology of Nathuram Godse,a Hindu nationalist militant who on January 30, 1948 assassinated Mahatma Gandhi.
Beliefs
When Godse finished secondary education, he became a Hindu nationalist activist. He joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS); His departure from the organization is controversial, He was particularly opposed to the separatist policies of the Muslim League. Godse started the Hindu Mahasabha in a Marathi journal called Agrani, which was renamed a few years later as Hindu Rashtra. The Hindu Mahasabha initially supported Gandhi's civil disobedience campaigns against the British government. Godse and his mentors later changed their minds and turned against Gandhi, feeling that Gandhi was sacrificing the interests of India to benefit those of the Muslims. They blamed Gandhi for the Partition of India, which left hundreds of thousands dead as a result of religious persecution.
