Gynocentrism is an ideology that believes society should be centered around women and girls. This ideology is practiced by modern Western civilization, as it prioritizes women in many areas, such as the school system being gynocentric, society being more understanding and accepting to women, women not having to sign the draft, and women generally having more rights in general in most Western countries.
This ideology is different from 
Matriarchy, however, as gynocentrism does not necessarily require women to be in all positions of power. In fact, gynocentrism can technically still operate in a patriarchal society.
