History

One of the first Reichsbürger movement was likely the Temporary Imperial Government (KRR), founded in 1985 by Wolfgang Gerhard Günter Ebel.

Multiple other movements espousing ideas of supposed continued existence of the imperial German state and the illegitimacy of the FRG (former West Germany, since the annexation of the GDR just Germany) have followed suit.
Such movements have picked up especially since the adoption of the internet, which allows like-minded people to connect and share their ideas and plans, most notably since the COVID-19 Pandemic, the protest movement against which radicalizing several people towards the right.

2022 German coup d'état plot

There was a coup d'état plot in Germany which was foiled on the 7th December 2022. It involved multiple high-ranking politicians and people of royal blood which organized in a group called Patriotic Union. They aimed at reestablishing the German Monarchy, despite having some high-profile people, their plans and communication was typically amateurish.

Beliefs

It beliefs that the Federal Republic of Germany is an illegitimate allied puppet state and, oftentimes a GmbH (effectively a company). Reichsbürger hold that the German empire (in which ever form they prefer) still technically exists as a legal entity and must be brought back to power via civil disobedience and revolutionary struggle. As they deny the authority of Germany, parallels to the Sovereign Citizen Movement have been drawn, sometimes Reichsbürger even reference it themselves.

Micronationalism

Many Reichsbürger have taken to Micronationalism in establishing their own "Imperial governments" on their private property. They either see it as a way to separate themselves from what they see as an illegitimate government in becoming self-governing citizen, or they seek to establish some form of transitional government. A famous, but more unorthodox, example is the Kingdom of Germany cult.

Due to this affiliation, Micronationalism in Germany is viewed in a negative light and people are socially discouraged from participating in it due to fear of being labeled as a Reichsbürger, as has happened often to unsuspecting people that just wished to have fun in establishing a micronation. This mislabeling has however also happened to regular self-administering cults that don't have any connections to the Reichsbürger movement.

Personality and Behavior

He liked to hang around fellow conspiracists and File:Anti-Semetic.png antisemites, but usually denies hanging around Nazis. He is generally friendly to talk to, but will always start going on rants about how the FRG is fake and that the fake allied-invented entity needs to be deposed. He does not get any bitches.
