Khomeinism is a republican, fundamentalist variant of Shia Theocracy. It seeks to revolt and establish sharia law. It derives itself from Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, leader of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution. It is economically center-left or third positionist. Notably, it is the governing ideology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the ideology of the militant Lebanese political party Hezbollah.

Beliefs

Khomeinism is a radical Shi’a Islamist ideology that fuses religion & governance, utilizing the principle of velayat-e faqih (guardianship of the Islamic jurist) to endow a learned Islamic jurist with the role of supreme leader who holds final religious & political authority over all affairs of state. Under Iran’s revolutionary system, velayat-e faqih is invoked to demand loyalty to & justify the authoritarian role of the supreme leader based on divine right. This was an uncompromising stance. There is evidence to suggest Khomeini’s revolutionaries murdered the competition in the lead-up to the Islamic Revolution, specifically Imam Musa al-Sadr, who advocated for a more traditional clerical role. Despite those socially far-right beliefs, it is economically center-left or Third Positionist, though its economic views are mostly sidelined compared to its governmental or social views.

Presidency of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (2005-2013)

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was the President of Iran from 2005 to 2013. During his presidency, he pursued a number of controversial policies that had significant implications for both domestic and foreign affairs.

One of the most controversial policies pursued by Ahmadinejad was the expansion of Iran's nuclear program. Despite concerns from the international community about the potential for Iran to develop nuclear weapons, Ahmadinejad's government continued to pursue the enrichment of uranium and other activities related to the nuclear program. This led to increased tensions with the United States and other countries, and ultimately to the implementation of economic sanctions against Iran.

Presidency of Hassan Rouhani (2013-2021)

Hassan Rouhani is the current President of Iran, having served since 2013. He is known for his more moderate stance on domestic and foreign policy issues, and has worked to improve relations with other countries and to address economic challenges facing Iran.

Rouhani's presidency has been marked by efforts to improve relations with the international community and to address the economic challenges facing Iran. One of the key achievements of his presidency was the negotiation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran nuclear deal, which was signed in 2015. The JCPOA was a major international agreement that lifted economic sanctions on Iran in exchange for limits on its nuclear program, and it was seen as a significant diplomatic accomplishment for Rouhani's administration.

Despite these efforts, Rouhani's presidency has also been marked by challenges and controversies. He has faced criticism from hardliners within Iran who view his policies as too conciliatory towards the West, and he has faced resistance from certain factions within the government that have opposed his efforts to reform certain aspects of Iranian society.

Overall, the presidency of Hassan Rouhani has been marked by a more moderate approach to domestic and foreign policy, and by efforts to address the economic challenges facing Iran. His presidency has also been shaped by the ideological legacy of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the leader of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, which has had a significant influence on the political landscape of Iran.

Hezbollah

Hezbollah is a shia-islamist and Khomeinist movement, party, militia and (according to many countries) terrorist organization in Lebanon, usually considered to be the single most powerful force in Lebanon. Under the leadership of current secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah, they have fought many conflicts with the neighbouring country and mortal enemy Israel, often with leftists and other shia islamists as their allies, however they have also fought in several internal conflicts in Lebanon against other factions within the country. His leadership has also marked a change in appeal and (at least nominally) end goals. For example, they no longer strive to make Lebanon a shia republic. They have also experienced a left turn under his leadership, with left wing populism and social justice on their agenda.

Personality

Khomeinism is usually portrayed as a fundamentalist, modern Shia Muslim. He enforces ideas of women wearing veils, anti- LGBT, anti-Americanism (The United States is still frequently referred to as the " Great Satan"), & other Shia Islamic characteristics. He's difficult to be friends with but, he'll work with shia moderates (& occasionally even non-Muslims) for strategic purposes (especially if it's in opposition to America). Khomeinism has an extreme commitment to erasing the entity of Israel. Khomeinism believes that the only way to free Palestine is through resistance & Intifada & establishing a Shia republic in Palestine.

Relations

Halal

  • Shia Theocracy - Is literally me.
  • Gaddafism - You were a great ally in Libya until the so-called "Arab spring" took you out.
  • Class Dealignment - You hate economics?! So do I! Our people MUST study Sharia and the Quran, NOT economics!
  • Putinism - Thanks for the support, Putin!
  • Chavismo - My only friend in the west.
  • Islamic Theocracy - My Grandfather.
  • Paleoconservatism & Conservative Socialism - Good Westerners, they are for their countries being great and sovereignty instead of imperialism and sucking off This Dog. One may be a Christian fundamentalist but at least we both believe in one God and have the right views (Although he is too moderate for me). And the second may be a Suckcialist but he hates Capitalism, Neocucks and Defended me in the past along with my other friends .
  • Manosphere - W*men belong in the kitchen and must wear veils instead of short skirts.
  • Dengism - Another great ally and thanks for arming me in Iran-Iraq war! Best ally one could have and you helped me with ending the proxy-conflict with the Saudis [5]. The US warmongers can cope and seeth.

Syubhah

  • Ba'athism - Raghad and Saddam hate me but Assad is cool.
  • Marxism–Leninism - Cringe atheist & progressive but thanks for aiding me against the Sh*h. Always defends me from America. Sorry about purging you in the 80's. Not sorry.
  • Fascism - Your hatred for Progressivism, Capitalism, and Socialism is admirable, but you also hate Islam and are too European for my liking... Wait, why did Mussolini call himself "The Protector of Islam"?!
  • Castroism - Not a fan of communism but the way you stand up to America will always be based!
  • Gorbachevism - To bad I couldn't convince you to convert. [6]
  • Neo-Ottomanism - FUCK YOU ERDOĞAN WE WILL TAKE BACK IDLIB WITH ASSAD! Though other than Syria, I have a quite complex relationship with him. At least he doesn’t hate me as much as the rest of the great satan’s puppet NATO members.
  • Islamic Capitalism - Our relationship is complicated to say the least! However, Qatar and UAE are ok and I've recently made peace with Saudi Arabia ending our decades-long proxy conflict.
  • Authoritarian Capitalism - Pahlavi Dyansty go bye bye but this is the direction I've been taking during the 21st Century.
  • Neoliberalism - Capitalism is haram but I won't stop the entire privatization.
  • Reformism - Yeah sure, Rouhani was a reformist, whatever...
  • Third Way - Thanks for the JCPOA (Iran Nuclear Deal) but don't you think it is a bit hypocritical for the US, the only nation that has used nuclear weapons on civilians to tell another nation not to build nukes?
  • Clerical Fascism - Aren't you just Zionism again?
  • Libertarian Conservatism - Good Americans, for their Nation and against scapegoating me and That Abomination but supports legal debauchery, a capitalist and not fond of the whole "Freedom and Liberty" thing.
  • Nazism - Aren't you just Saddam? But the Holocaust didn't happen. [7]
