Social Nationalism, in its most basic definition, is a ideology which strives for a Nationalist state with a
Welfarist economic model, such as
Social Democracy or
Rhine Capitalism. Social Nationalism is typically authoritarian in nature but usually supports a constitution by which the power of the executive is controlled and limited. Additionally, Social Nationalism is usually
Traditionalist, but may also take on some ideas that are considered to be more progressive, especially in a historical context.
Various variants of Social Nationalism exist across the whole world and have been implemented or existed in large movements in countries including, but not limited to: Poland,
Hungary,
Turkey,
China,
Mexico,
Syria,
Venezuela,
Bolivia, and
Finland.
Historical examples of Social Nationalist leaders and countries are, among others: Kemalist Turkey,
Poland under
Józef Piłsudski, and
Nationalist China under the KMT.
A modern variant of Social Nationalism, here referred to as Nadzieja Social Nationalism or Polish Social Nationalism, was developed by Hubert Ziółkowki starting in 2019, which outlines concrete ideas for a modern Polish Social Nationalist state that abandons
Liberalism and supports
Anti-Progressivism.
Beliefs
Some basic values of modern interpretations of Social Nationalism can be summarized as follows:
- We shouldn’t strive for laissez faire capitalism, because that will lead to a degenerate culture of materialism and consumerism, neither should we strive for communism as it is inefficient and would weaken the nation.
- Economics should be somewhat flexible so that the system that best suits the people is what gets implemented.
- Most immigration to a country should be from culturally similar nations and peoples, typically limited to only the most skilled. Actual refugees should instead seek refuge in the nearest stable country.
- Nationalism and Traditionalism should be taught in school, aligning with the virtues that would be important to teach to youth, while other values like discipline, high work ethic, honesty and unity would be encouraged.

Syrian Social Nationalism
Main Article:
Saadehism
Syrian Social Nationalism, or Saadehism is a Pan-Syrian Nationalist ideology that strives for a authoritarian greater Syrian state beyond both Capitalism and
Socialism. It is espoused by the
Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), a sizable political force in
Syria.

Ziółkowskiizm
Nadzieja Social Nationalism or Polish Social Nationalism, as founded and espoused by Hubert Ziółkowki is a modern interpretation of Social Nationalism in the context of Poland. It focuses especially on culture and diplomacy, leaving economics
delegated to the federal subdivisions, which have great autonomy through a unique Kraj system. It is strongly based in optimism and
Collectivism, reforging both concepts into its core philosophies of
Hopeism and
Natcolasis respectively.
Government
Nadzieja Social Nationalism is notable for its unique government system, while authoritarian in nature, the so-called Kultokratic system espouses the idea that the strong executive must be limited by a constitution and is to relegate many tasks to ministers and
federal subdivisions while still allowing some forms of
Democracy to exist. Its federal system also includes the creation of Autonomous Krajs for national minorities, in the case of Poland this may include the Kashubians, Silesians, and Gorals.
Diplomacy
Strongly Interventionist in nature, Nadzieja Social Nationalism believes in spreading Nationalism and Anti-Liberalism via foreign intervention and the creation of a "Global Nationalist group" (GNG) in which nationalist countries respect each other and work together. It is also strongly
Russophilic, believing that Russia would be a good ally to Poland that could ward off the west, which it despises, while also helping Poland reclaim their lost lands in Ukraine.
Culture
Culture is one of the biggest focuses of Nadzieja Social Nationalism, it wishing to create a Nationalist and
Collectivist culture that encourages
Traditionalism and good values like hard work or national unity. It wishes to limit immigration only to those from a similar cultural-ethnic background who must offer something in return and be loyal to the nation.
In general, Nadzieja Social Nationalism is strongly Anti-Progressive and Anti-Western, believing that the West and its cultural influences, in part caused by Capitalism, are degenerate ant anti-Nationalist. It takes a
Traditional view on most things, such as
Maternalism and wishing to conserve the native culture of the country. It is also somewhat
Anti-Semitic and takes a moderate stance on
LGBT issues.
Stylistic notes
- Social Nationalism believes in secularism and so doesn't appear with religious clothing.
- Has an idea of a 'Nationalist Revolution', this could either mean a coup or an actual revolution, any means to access power is valid.
- His father Nationalism really cares for him, but his mother Social Democracy bullies him for his 'tribalism'.
- He thinks every quadrant has some good ideas, except LibLeft.
- He doesn't read very much aside from his own written theories or History books.
Relations
Friends
Tridemism - My Chinese friend, but overtime the Kuomintang has become too progressive. It should return to Sun/Chiang era.
Kemalism - The more progressive Turkish vision of me. Sad to see but its better than alternatives.
Right-wing Populism - We must reclaim our national sovereignty from the Eurocrats!
National Conservatism - Hungary and Poland are the most based European nations.
Mikolayism - Like me but very homosex, generally good and nice
Sanationism - Mój marszałku <3, I have a framed picture of you
Frenemies
Social Democracy - Good economics, other than that you suck.
Fascism - Nationalism and being socially-oriented are both based but you are too totalitarian and extreme for my liking.
Conservative Socialism - You are socially too moderate and economically too left wing.
Boschism – we used to be friends but now you're just
third way.
European Nationalism - Reminds me of Prometheism and Piłsudski to an extent however national sovereignty is much more important.
Putinism - We both oppose western degenerate liberalism and wokeism, but you are very oligarchical and corrupt.
Xi Jinping Thought - We both agree that western degeneracy is bad. But still, communism and totalitarianism still suck.
Neonationalism - You are based in general even though some of you variants are iffy.
Ethnic Welfarism- Too democratic, globalist, and progressive, but other than that you are a friend of me.
Enemies
National Socialism - The neighborhood weirdo. You ruined the image of nationalism post-45 and caused the mess we are in!
Maoism - Tradition and culture destroying commie who destroyed my guy Chiang Kai-shek.
Eurofederalism - You must die for European nations to survive.
Neo-Ottomanism - Cringe imperialist and Islamist scum.
