Brazilian Liberalism is the beliefs of Killer Kitty/Gato Matador. Nothing else, just imagine what if Anthony Blair was a nationalist.
Beliefs
Economics
The economic model I support is largely inspired by the Chicago School of economics, Blair's New Labour, Nordomics (term I created two seconds ago to describe Nordic Social Democracy, A.K.A: Nordic Model) and alike. I believe there should be a compromise between capitalism and socialism, as while I a self-proclaimed capitalist, am still a welfarist. Natural resources should stay in state control, and I say the same for healthcare and education, which should be public and avaliable for all. While non-essential services, like the Postal service, should be privatized, as they seems to be a burden on society and should be held in private hands.
Welfare
A country with huge inequality like Brazil needs to always deliver it's services to the lower class populance, that's a basic thing in every developed nation. In a world like today, where the poor earns much less than the rich, welfare services are always welcome by many, even the upper class. Some of my proposals to reduce inequality is an income of 1600$ to everybody who lives in extreme poverty.
To reduce the dangers of *welfare parasitism*, like the one in Northeastern Brazil, were the local population is trapped in infinite circles of poverty by leeching social services and refusing to find jobs, making them dependant on welfare as a way to survival. As way to counter this I propose a welfare reform inspired by the one applied under Clinton's government, which forced welfare recipients to find a job within certain months on welfare, otherwise they would lose the benefits.
Trade
Being the proud Enlightened Centrist I am, I believe in finding a middle ground on issues like trade. While I personally supports free trade, believing in the teachings of Henry George, I am against accords that go against Brazil interests and replace the local manufacture industry. In short, tariffs should stay at a minimum rate, to compensate, the state should promote local industries to maintain fairness within international trade.
Taxes
While I am personally against taxes, I still believe they are a 'necessary evil' to the society. As much we hate them, we must agree they can be used to provide for all of us. Some taxes I support/at least agree within some parts includes:
- Land Value Tax - I am largely inspired by Henry George on this one. Land should be taxed, and that's it. Rural land on Brazil is very high, we could use this as an opportunity to tax it and provide to the country.
- Pigouvian Tax - for those who don't know, a Pigouvian tax means taxation on activities which are generating negative outcomes to the markets as whole. This ideally would promote businessmens to act responsibly in their business decisions.
- Church tax - Brazil has way more churches than schools and hospitals, and while I do respect Christianism and it's followers even though I am agnostic, I still believe churches should be taxed. After all, Brazil is secular at the end of the day.
- Pollution tax - being born in one of the most environmentally rich countries in the world, I have to extend my support to environmentalism and taxation on pollution. The tax should be low, so things don't go expensive, and the income should be used to invest on green energy.
- Income tax - I believe income should be taxed. If someoene is rich enough to afford a lavish lifestyle, he should contribute to the system.
- Sin taxes - there are many dangerous products around in my opnion, cigarettes, beer, guns and alike. These shit should be taxed, and I am not going to elaborate further.
- Corporate tax - corporate taxes should be low, to reduce the burden on big business so they can employ more people. It's a necessary evil.
Social Issues
A step forward is still a step forward, but we should still respect the old traditions of the past that lead us to glory. I like the idea of preserving the national heritage, culture, and the old ways of the past, but I am against discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality or religion. Xenophobia is still based though. This makes me call myself a Progressive Conservative.
Justice
Living in a country like Brazil can make anyone stricly against crime. I do believe punitive justice is ideal, meaning criminals would be punished instead of rehabilitated, but there will be small exceptions for exemple if someone who very poor steals from a store to feed his family. I also believe death penalty should come back, and people convicted of murder, rape, treason, torture and coup attempt should be executed in the eletric chair or at least a lethal injection. By the way the Hamurabi Code was pretty based.
Environmentalism
I support environmental regulations such as laws against over-deforestation and the promotion of green energy. He is also against the extinction of endangered species and thinks the government should work alongside non-governamental organizations to reduce the effects of animal extinction in Brazil.
States' Rights
I support Federalism and Regionalism, because I do believe it's unfair a province has to change it's law without approval of the local government because another province has enacted this law. My ideal model for Federalism is inspired by American Federalism, meaning not only states can pass their own legislations, but they can also be economically independent (though there will be some small restrictions).
All Portuguese Nation
Brazil, since the times of colonianism, is a Lusitan nation. Everyone who wants to be Brazilian MUST speak Portuguese, and immigrants should have change their native language. Minority languages like German, Indigenous languages and Spanish should have minimal protections and be taught at school, but they will never be recognized. And cities at the north regions of Uruguay, including Artigas and Quaraí, must become protectorates of Brazil, adhering to Brazilian law and being forced to remove Spanish as the national language.
Braganza Restoration
I believe the House of Braganza, who ruled Brazil from 1822 to 1889, must be brought back by a nationwide referendum. The position of King of Brazil must be entirely ceremonial, with the executive powers still in the hands of the President, because I believe the King should only serve as the cultural icon of Brazil. Also, by restablishing the Brazilian Empire it would promote Pan-Lusitanism, and show the world that Brazil will always be the brother of Portugal.
Immigration
I believe Immigration should be unrestricted for nations part of the "Lusosphere" (term created to refer to nations that speak Portuguese, or at least recognize it as language) like Portugal and Angola. While for immigrants from nations that doesn't speak Portuguese, like Argentina for exemple, the said immigrant should adhere to the "Five Principles:"
- Agree to use Portuguese as main language;
- Limit the use of their own national language privately or among other immigrants, but they can teach the language to their childrens if they want;
- Assimilate to the Brazilian society, starting a job and never do anything to damage the nation;
- Promise to never use the country's social services before assimilating, and only use them if they are unemployed or in situations of extreme poverty;
- And finally, never engage in criminal acts,
If a immigrant break at least one of these laws, he will be deported.
Religion
The religion should never be in the way of progress like in the Middle Ages, and the government must guarantee it. I propose a series of policies aiming to secularize Brazil, being inspired by Kemal's Turkey and French Laïcité, including: banning clergymens from public positions, large taxes on churches and the promotion of freedom of religion.
Personality and Behaviour
Brazilian Liberalism acts and behaves like his founder, Killer Kitty.
Relationships
- Abolitionism - The abolition of Slavery was one of the greatest things humanity as ever done. Slavery is a brutal system which no one should be subject to. Unfortunately, Slavery still exists, but at least the world realized how this system is backward and useless. Though, I might support a form of slavery in Prisons, since Criminals should compensate society for their crimes.
- Absolute Monarchism - I might support it depending on the country. But this is not the ideal.
- Accelerationism - Although I admire your determination to establish your ideals, destroying society will make the things worse.
- Acid Communism - Very idealistic and hippie-ish. No more criticisms for you.
- African Socialism - Sankara was the true hero of Africa, and Mandela taught us a lesson on racial equality. Otherwise, most adherents of this system were terrible dictators, like Mugabe for exemple.
- Agorism - Truly disgusting. The idea of "destroying society" by enganging in illegal or futile acts such as the black markets is just insane and selfish.
- Agrarian Anarchism - Agrarianism and Anarchism aren't good in my opnion. But mixing them togheter...
- Agrarian Capitalism - The status quo of my country. Nothing else.
- Agrarian Socialism - Indeed, the common rural folk is the most oppressed class under the current capitalist system. But many of you don't realize there's a room for improvement in Capitalism, and in Capitalism, you can freely accend into higher classes without any challenge besides inequality and few opportunities.
- Agrarianism - Agrarianism has their ups and downs, and I do agree farming is very important to the world as whole. But I still believe Industrialism is better to develop a country.
- Alt-Lite - A deep reaction to the Progressive forces not only the Western world, but even in non-Western nations like Brazil. There's no philosophy in this ideology other than the opposition to modern Progressivism.
- Alt-Right - Same as above, but older, more organized and dying. The purpose of the Alt-Right was fighting against Multicultural policies promoted by the modern Neoliberal order in the West. But the biggest fault in the movement was sticking to ideologies such as White Supremacy and Neo-Nazism, guaranteeing that the movement lose it's relevance over the time until it fade into the obscurity.
- Alter-Globalism - I see no problem in this ideology, other than being against the eternal circle of the world. Imperialism will always exist, firstly, it was practiced by Europe, and then, by Asia, currently by America, and will be used by Africa. You can't kill it, but minimize it's effects. I also see your devotion to Cosmopolitanism disgusting.
- American Model - America was born as the bastion of freedom in a world where people were killed for different beliefs, and the church was the sole lawmaker. It's a tragedy to see a giant become decadent and authoritarian.
- Anarcha-Feminism - Anarchism is always disgusting, but mixing with Identity politics like Feminism makes it worse. At least I like your determination to freedom, liberty and gender equality; a thing we definely need in this world.
- Anarchism - Never understood how someone can create such utopia. You are definely better than most Totalitarian ideologies, but without the state how can we have security, freedoms, and etc.? Also, if Anarchists managed to topple the state, it will be short last, because another state will gain power. Making Anarchism useless.

- Acid Gramscianism - Not a fan. The Marxist worldview was actually relevant in the 19th century, when Capitalism lead to poverty and inequality. Nowadays, I see Capitalism as "the most natural" out of all the economic systems; class mobility is only avaliable at Capitalism, and let's people who work hard earn the fruits of their own work. Capitalism was fixed in the 20th century, and will be fixed in the 21th century.
